The Diary Game: A Joyous Sunday, And An Impactful Gift From A Friend _ (26/04/2026)

Hi my lovely people on this great platform, it's chiamaka okoronta but @chiamakag as my Steemit username. Yes today is Sunday and I was really ready for church today, so I planned to wake up early and prepare but unfortunately I woke up late because I slept so late trying to read in order to cover my textbook in preparation for my exam, so that made me wake up really late and immediately I stood up rushed out with my toothbrush brushed my teeth hurriedly, went back to my room carried my bucket and went to the bathroom, I bathed so fast after that I started preparing so quicky in order not to get to church late. Luckily when I reached the church they had just started and I came right in time. So I entered inside the church and joined the congregation.

Inside the church

I attend a Catholic church and the sermon the priest gave today was one in a million, the preaching was so so good and educating. After all the programs in the church we closed and I left for the hostel because the church inside my school and it was so close to my own hostel than others. So I went home thinking about the amazing sermon I heard today in church which made me feel new because it was all about Jesus being our good shepherd. On my way back to the hostel I decided to take some pictures.

Going back to the hostel after church

When I reached the hostel I got out to get a meal to eat, because while rushing to go to church this morning I didn't eat though I wasn't feeling hungry but as I came back to the hostel I was so hungry. I came back inside after buying the meal and ate, after that I decided to wash my plates immediately, while washing my dirty dishes outside I met a long time friend who travelled back home and then she gave me coconut she brought back from the house. Inside my room I was just having different thoughts about the coconut, and finally an idea clicked me which is using the coconut to prepare coconut rice at my friend's place. So I went inside my room rested for like 2 hours before heading out to my friend's place to prepare the meal.

I reached my friend's place and started preparing to cook my meal, firstly I went out bought some necessary food stuffs for my meal and then I proceeded back to her house to prepare my meal, I grated my coconut and extracted the milk using warm water, with the help of my friend @purpleidy who helped me a lot while cooking because I wasn't familiar with cooking coconut rice and it was my first time cooking it she really helped me a lot and I learned really fast. And then I cooked my meal and the meal was top notch. So happy that my first experience of cooking coconut rice was good and also so happy that I made good use of the coconut which was given to me. I really enjoyed my meal so much, after eating I watched some movies on my phone.
