Steemit rewards July 2019steemCreated with Sketch.

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

Today is the last day of July, so it is time again for a new post about the rewards I got from different Steemit services and initiatives.

Voting distribution

Based on upVoters you can get insight in the upvotes you get for a certain amount of time. Below you can see the voting distribution of all incoming votes in July (and June as a comparison). It can be seen that @actifit took a smaller share this month, but remains in first position (by a huge margin). It is followed by @jerrybanfield (who is upvoting me since I joined his email list) and @steembasicincome (which saw its share decrease a bit). The share of @esteemapp and @steem-ua also decreased this month. Mostly because of Jerry being there for the first time...

Author rewards

The second important thing to take into account is the total amount of author rewards that I got during this month. Steemworld.org helps here, since you can see the rewards of the last 30 days on your account page there (see below). One disadvantage is that rewards are always paid out 7 days after you author a post. That means that the reward data from Steemworld are 7 days behind the upVoters data about upvotes. To keep the calculation easy, I assume that the amount of upvotes by the different services are comparable for both periods. Since I post 4 to 5 times a week nearly all weeks, that should be pretty close to the reality.

According to the Steemworld data, I got 38.36 STEEM (Power) and 3.99 SBD in author rewards last month. For the calculation I assume that the average price of STEEM was around 0.27 SBD this month. That makes a total reward value of 53.14 STEEM (compared to 42.21 in June). This is a new record for me!

Results

In the table below you can find the results of the calculation for this month, including a recap from the previous five months. I only take the services into account that are among the five biggest contributors/upvoters.

ServiceShare (%)STEEM (Jul)STEEM (Jun)STEEM (May)STEEM (Apr)STEEM (Mar)STEEM (Feb)

Actifit is still on top this month, and with some more Steem than last month. I keep making use of the nice AFIT to Steem/upvote possibility @actifit offers these days.
SBI is down in Steem rewards. It seems the sustainability coverage of SBI has gone down, which makes the upvotes smaller. Still however it is a lot better than in the first months of 2019.
Esteemapp has gone down a lot, because i posted less with the app while I was on holiday, which resulted in less upvotes. Therefore it is back to third place, after SBI.
Steem-UA is in fourth place and has increased compared to last month. It seems I was more active which increased my UA-score again.
Upvoteshares is more or less stable in Steem. The slight reduction is mainly because I posted less this month.

In the graph below, the Steem rewards per service is shown over time. You can see that the increase of rewards in July was not because of these five services together, but because of others.

Conclusion and further thoughts

Based on the numbers, most of the services are still working well for me. Actifit is really the big one, especially because of the conversion option. I'd say this is the best service there is for me, also because it keeps me fit. SBI brings in a steady income, but is struggeling a bit. The Esteem app works very well and gives nice upvotes that are worth a lot more than what you give them, so it is a win-win. Steem-UA is still a great service when you calculate the Return on Investment, but I do need to increase my engagement to reach new highs.
All other services (including @dustsweeper and @minnowbuilder, which are not in the list) still provide a, slow but steady, return, so I won't be changing any of those.

What do you think about the numbers? And do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!

Follow @esteemapp as well!

I just bumped my auto-vote from 10% to 15% which should get me above a total of 1% of your monthly upvotes ;-)

What exactly is that email list of Jerrybanfield ?
Great to see you going strong @erikklok!

Thanks, that's very much appreciated! And should do the 1% indeed 😉

I saw somebody resteeming or mentioning that he had an action that everybody who joined the list would get a 100% upvote each day. Clearly too many people joined, so his VP is very low now. Still the upvotes are nice, but the first ones were huge. I'll have a look whether I can find that specific post.
