Predictable || Prompt
I use to think being predictable is a sign of weakness.
People will know all your moves, they know where to find you and your capacity.
They know what you can do in certain situations.
But really, it also means you are reliable.
You are transparent.
You have the advantage when you are predictable because you can change the game anytime.
People will keep assuming you will do the same thing, but you can change your methods once in a while.
During my undergrad, there was this lecturer who gives us questions to study. Some of our exam questions are from the questions given earlier, so we prepare based on the questions given.
Our junior year exam, he gave us a shock. We had studied the questions he gave us but he brought out some else. The predictable man has become unpredictable.
Being predictable can give you an edge, you can give them a shock when you want to.
The issue with predictable is that most who are act out of habit and are less flexible so changing is rare. That teacher most likely noticed what most teacher notice that you didn't know, understood what has been lecturered and cannot bring it into practice. The only way to test that was by changing the questions. Sounds like he succeeded.
He really did.
Everyone was stunned and disappointed.
I barely made it through the exam myself but I learnt a valuable lesson on the process.
This is what all teacher here do. They give you the former exams to practice with but it is never the same so it is pointless to count on the same questions. Great you passed.
