The Diary Game:||12 /4/2026|| Sunday preaching on understanding pathways to sanctification and other church activities.
Hello Steemians! |
|---|
Today's service was awesome and filled with the power of God, and I'm here to tell you all what I learned in today's service. So this morning I woke up prepared and went to church. At church different activities took place, such as choir ministration, announcements, mind-blowing testimonies, and many more, before the sermon began. Today's topic was understanding the pathways to sanctification. And Pastor Anthony Atono was the one who ministered today. The text was taken from Psalm 23:1-the end, and here is what I learned from his sermon today.
Today I learned that God will not ask us to do what he has not enabled us to do (1 John 5:3). God will not tell us to do what he has not empowered us to do. He won't tell us to build what is not empowered for us to build, and sanctification is a choice, not a deed. Deut. 30:19. Therefore, to live a sanctified life is possible, but it will not be possible without faith. Mark 11:24
What are the pathways to sanctification? |
|---|
I learned that if we want to live a sanctified life, we must be determined in our heart to love a sanctified life, and we must watch and pray always for a sanctified life (Dan. 6:28). We must also crave the renewal of the spirit of holiness, and we must engage in the cleansing power of the word.
So then what hinders us from living a sanctified life? |
|---|
Ungodliness:
Ungodliness blocks access to God's help in time of trouble; ungodliness destroys destiny (Acts 12:21-24, 2 Kings 5:20-27). It blocks access to the divine secret of God. Daniel 2:19. It opens doors to sickness and disease. The strongest place in our lives that ungodliness can set in is our heart; therefore, when we win the battle in our heart, we win in the physical realm, but if we don't, it becomes the reverse (Acts 7:21). This implies that we all must consciously subject all our thoughts to align with the word of God, and we must keep doing all we can for the triumphant entry at last. After the sermon we all praised and took the communion; the pastor blessed us all, and we shared the grace and went to our different destinations.
