My Actifit Report Card: May 03 2026

I started my walk in the quaint village of Broadway, often referred to as the "Jewel of the Cotswolds." As I strolled through the village, I was captivated by the honey-colored stone buildings that date back to the 16th century. The local shops had a delightful array of handmade crafts and cotswold cheeses, and I couldn’t resist picking up a small piece of Double Gloucester cheese!

As I made my way out of Broadway, the path led me through lush green fields dotted with sheep, and I encountered some friendly locals who were out walking their dogs. We exchanged pleasantries and chatted about the area's history, particularly the fascinating fact that Broadway was once an important coaching stop in the 18th century, which contributed to its growth and prosperity.

Continuing on, I passed through the vibrant village of Snowshill, where I visited the Snowshill Manor, a National Trust property. The manor houses an eclectic collection of items amassed by its former owner, Charles Wade. The gardens were in full bloom, with vibrant flowers attracting butterflies, and I spent some time just soaking in the beauty of the surroundings—it's a place that feels like stepping back in time.

On my way back, I took a detour through a woodland area. The autumn leaves were transforming the landscape into a tapestry of reds and golds, and the crunching sound beneath my feet was so satisfying. I even spotted a few deer peeking through the trees, which was a magical moment!
