The Diary Game: Cooking Afang Soup And Resting Without Work (24-04-2026)

@heluxe here, guys. How are you doing? Today, I was very busy trying to cook afang soup. You know, as a typical Akwa Ibom Woman, you have to be able to cook Afang soup. The previous night, my husband had bought afang leaves and came back, so what I did this morning was to start chopping them.

I washed the afang last night and I dried it, so I didn't just chop dirty afang leaves. When I finished chopping the afang leaves, I went to the garden where I plant my water leaf and I began to pluck it. It was more than enough to use for the afang soup. This is why I do advise people to have something they are using their own hands to plant. Had it been I never had this water leaf at home, I would've still spent so much money on buying them.

When I finished washing the water leaf, I began to chop it as well. When I finished, I took the water leaf I chopped and washed out the juice. Do you know why I did that? It's because the juice taste somehow sour in the soup and we do not like it, that's why we do use normal water to wash the water leaf and dry it off the original juice.

When I finished with washing the water leaf, I took my pot, and then I began to cook the soup. It do take time by the way but it's always worth the wait at the end because you get to enjoy a whole lot.

When I finished cooking, I made garri and then I ate the soup with garri. This is the kind of enjoyment I talk about, you eat what you cook with your hands so that you know the kind of ingredients that's being used. I ate till I was more than satisfied before I took my bath.

After I finished eating, I stood up and washed the plates, kept the kitchen tidied up and then I took mop and then I used clean water with detergent to mop the house. You know, there is no how you cook this kind of meal and the house stops to scent, it will definitely scent, so you have to mop it clean so the scent will be minimal and could easily go off if air freshener is being applied to.

When I finished mopping and making everywhere clean and sparkling, I took my bath and I went to go and rest. I changed up and was now looking good. I didn't work today, I just took the clothes I sewed yesterday and I added button to it. Other than that, I didn't do anything serious.

After that, I slept in the afternoon because my daughter was in her room sleeping. I also slept since I was tired and could barely do much of a thing. After I finished, I took my bath and then I went outside again to go stay. I called my husband to know if I was to make garri or keep fufu for him to come and eat with the afang soup.

I was sitting outside then I went inside to go and stay with my daughter who was eating movie. After some time, I asked to come so that I will bath her, it was night so I needed to make sure she has taken her evening shower before anything. After bathing her and wanted to go sit down, my husband knocked on the door and I opened then he came in before I went to bed.
