Assalamu Alaikum. Hope you are all well. Alhamdulillah, I am healthy and well. I am very happy to participate in the Fifth week of "Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 33". Today's theme is "SLC33-W5: My Community, My Story – Festivals, Culture & Traditions". My sincere thanks to @josepha Sir for organizing this wonderful competition. Every region has its own unique characteristics and social rituals that carry our identity. Today I will share with you my personal experience about a wonderful and eco-friendly social festival in my area—our local "Tree Plantation Drive and Tree Fair 2026". So let's get started.

One of the most beautiful and meaningful events of our local culture and heritage is the "Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair" held every 6 months. This festive fair is usually held in front of Shahid Zia Hall, the heart of our Narayanganj district, with great pomp. This event has a great response in our local community to protect the current environment and increase the greenery.

How to get there:

• From Dhaka: If you want to come from Dhaka, you can easily take a local bus or CNG from the signboard or Chittagong Road directly to Narayanganj Chashara Bus Stand intersection. From there, you can easily reach this tree campaign and tree fair located in front of Shahid Zia Hall by walking for about 1 minute.

• ​From Narayanganj city: From Narayanganj city: You can take an auto or rickshaw from our Narayanganj city or its surrounding areas directly to the front of Chashara Shahid Zia Hall. The roads here are quite wide and there are always plenty of vehicles available for transportation.

• Private vehicle: If you have your own car or motorcycle, you can easily reach the Narayanganj Chashara Shahid Zia Hall via the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road. The road condition is good, so traveling by private vehicle is quite comfortable. Even if you don't know the place, you can find it by opening Google Maps on your phone and typing 'Narayanganj Chashara Shahid Zia Hall' in the search. And by seeing this location, you will easily reach here.

The importance of this tree fair and tree plantation drive in our community is immense. Because it is not just a commercial market for buying and selling trees, but a unique social movement to save our nature and the environment around us. Also, this festival plays a great role in making the younger generation and people from all walks of life aware of protecting our surroundings from climate change and pollution in the present time. I think it is a great way to build an eco-friendly culture in our lifestyle.

In every district of our country, various wonderful activities and preferences can be observed among the people around this tree fair organized in the district. Even when visiting the premises of this tree fair, people mainly like fruit, forest, medicinal and various types of amateur indoor plants, along with buying the trees with utmost care. In addition, on the occasion of such fairs, people like to enjoy the festive atmosphere around, as well as roam around the fair with their families wearing traditional Bengali clothes and tasting local delicious food or sweets.

Located in front of Shaheed Zia Hall in the heart of Narayanganj district, after coming to this tree fair, the green surroundings and the vibrant appearance of the nursery seedlings fascinate me the most. Even as soon as I enter the fair, the pleasant environment around and the smiling faces of various people remove all the fatigue from my mind. Also, especially, when people of different ages choose their favorite trees with utmost interest and this spontaneous enthusiasm for planting trees is seen among everyone, that scene seems to me the most enjoyable and joyful.

This tree fair unites people from different walks of life in our community. Especially, from tree lovers to common people, everyone comes together here to discuss the care of trees and the environment, which further strengthens our mutual bond. However, I would very much like to recommend all domestic and foreign visitors to visit our beautiful tree plantation drive and tree fair. Because the green environment here, the sincerity of the people and the vibrant atmosphere of the festival will be a great experience for any traveler and nature lover.

In the evening, as soon as I had time, I rushed to the "Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair 2026" - an environment and life fair located in front of Zia Hall in our Narayanganj district. As soon as I stepped into the fair premises, the fresh scent of the green saplings around and the festive atmosphere filled my mind. The combination of fruits, forest, medicinal and various types of amateur indoor plants turned the entire fair into a piece of green heaven.

While I was visiting this tree fair, I was very impressed by the crowd of people at various stalls and the spontaneous joy of buying trees among everyone. I even spoke to the vendors of this fair and carefully selected some of the desired tree saplings. This vibrant scene around, the busyness of the people and the proximity to nature have made my experience of visiting this fair unforgettable.
