I am participating in this contest, "SLC31-W2 | THE GREEN JOURNEY | Green Palate. Thanks to @bijoy1 for organizing such a wonderful contest. I am very happy and excited to participate in this contest.

I went to the market today in the morning. There is a big market near our house and I bought fresh vegetables from there. I bought orka, shrimp and tomatoes. They were fresh. I had washed the vegetables after bringing them from the market. Cooking my own curry with fresh vegetables tastes different. It is healthy.

Now I am going to make vegetable curry using the above ingredients. And I have presented the tutorial below-

Step 1


First I washed the shrimp, orka and tomatoes with water. After buying vegetables from the market, they need to be washed and cleaned thoroughly. This helps to avoid the spread of pathogens. So, always wash vegetables thoroughly before cooking.

Step 2


Then I took out four green chillies and an onion from the refrigerator. Then I cut the onion and chillies into pieces. Green chillies and onions are very important while cooking vegetable curry. They enhance the taste of the curry.

Step 3


Then I took the washed shrimp, tomatoes and orka. Then I first cut the orka. I cut the orka into pieces. Then I cut the shrimp. Then I cut the tomato.

Step 4


Then I put a non-stick pan on the stove. Then I poured the green chili and onion pieces there. Then I poured soybean oil there. Then I stirred them for a while with a plastic spoon. So that the chili and onion do not burn. I fried them for 6-8 minutes.

Step 5


Then when the chili and onion turned light brown, I added the chopped vegetable pieces.

Step 6


Then I first sprinkled some salt on the vegetables. You can't add too much salt. You should add some salt. Otherwise, the taste of the curry will be ruined.

Step 7


Then I added some turmeric powder to the vegetables. Then I added some cumin powder. This changed the color of the vegetables a little.

Step 8


Then I stirred the vegetables well. So that the salt, turmeric powder and cumin powder mixed together. Then I covered the vegetables with a lid for a while.

Final Step


After about 20 minutes of cooking, the vegetables were completely ready to eat. Then I poured the vegetables from the non-stick pan and placed them in a bowl.

I collected fresh vegetables from the market. And brought them home and cut them. Eating fresh vegetables is good for health. It took me about 40 minutes to prepare my vegetable curry. This time was spent cutting, washing and cooking the vegetables. I had roti at night with the vegetables made with shrimp, tomatoes and orka. This vegetable was really delicious. I usually eat roti at night. I like to eat roti with vegetables. I ate roti with the curry I made today. It was very delicious to eat.

Before cooking any vegetable, you have to check how fresh it is. Cooking a curry with fresh vegetables is very delicious. And it is also good to eat. So I go to the market myself. And I buy fresh vegetables from the market. Now there are various types of adulterated products available in the market. I choose the vegetables myself. So that rotten vegetables do not come.

Then, thinking about the health awareness of the family, I wash the vegetables well. Vegetables bought from outside contain various types of germs. If the vegetables are washed well, the germs are washed away with water. Then I cut the vegetables well.

I always eat food prepared by myself or my mother at home. It is good for health. No matter how tasty the food prepared at home is, it is healthy. Eating food cooked at home protects you from various types of diseases. At home, we cook with great care in a healthy environment. In my opinion, people of all ages should eat home-cooked food. It is healthy. If you always eat home-cooked food, no kind of disease can ever take root in your body.


I really enjoyed eating my own curry made with green and fresh vegetables. I have cooked meat curry before. But today, for the first time, I cooked a curry with shrimp, orca and tomatoes together. The curry was really delicious. My father and I ate roti with that curry at night. On the morning of the 21st, I also ate that curry with rice. I have a few plants in my house. There is a big money-plants and a leafy plant. I was sitting next to the plants in the house and eating rice in a bowl.
