AlHikmah Mosque- Comfortable Rest Area for Travelers on the Binjai–Langsa Toll Road
Last week, after finishing the final semester examination, our group of teachers from SMP Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe went on a weekend trip to Berastagi. We left lhokseumawe after magrib prayer at night and traveled through the Binjai–Langsa Toll Road. Before continuing our journey to the highlands of Berastagi, we stopped at Al Hikmah Mosque in the Rest Area KM 41B to perform the Fajr prayer.
The mosque is located in a strategic area inside the rest area, making it very easy for travelers to stop and pray. From a distance, the building looks beautiful and modern. The mosque has a clean white exterior and a tall minaret that can be seen clearly at night. The lighting around the mosque also creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Ablution area
Meanwhile, the ablution areas are integrated into the mosque building itself, positioned on both the left and right sides. The water was clean, and the facilities were well maintained, providing a comfortable experience for worshippers. This thoughtful layout helps keep the main prayer area clean while ensuring convenience for travelers.
When we entered the mosque, we immediately felt comfortable. The prayer hall was very clean, spacious, and cool. The air circulation was good, and the peaceful environment helped us focus on our worship. Even though it was early in the morning, the mosque was well maintained and ready to serve visitors.
After performing the Fajr prayer, we spent a few minutes enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The mosque was still relatively quiet because the toll road is new and not many travelers were stopping there yet. However, the quiet environment made the experience even more relaxing. It was a perfect place to recharge both physically and spiritually before continuing our journey.
Overall, Al Hikmah Mosque is an excellent facility for road travelers. It offers a clean, comfortable, and peaceful place for worship and rest. If you are traveling on the Binjai–Langsa Toll Road, I highly recommend stopping here, not only to pray but also to enjoy a moment of tranquility during your journey.
