The Mrs and Silvertop ended up at the Lynden City Park for our hike today!
Last Tuesday Silvertop retested his vision at the department of motor vehicles/ DMV, and was cleared to drive without glasses!
Hooray!!!!!🤗💪
“Honey, I still like my “EXTRA” crisp vision with my “Maui Jim” sunglasses when I drive! Can you send these frames out to have new lenses put in, with my new weaker prescription? Now that Silvertop has improved “SUPER Vision” Lol!”😇

“Silvertop…..Maui Jim no longer sells prescription sunglass lenses in regular eyeglass frames, only in Maui Jim sunglass frames!”🥰

“So let me get this straight……….
These are Maui Jim frames, with Maui Jim lenses, and they won’t touch these glasses, because they and not sunglasses frames?”🤔

Liz and I continued our hike through the Park, while Silvertop tried to wrap his mind around this dilemma…..🙄
“Silvertop, Maui Jim glasses are the Mercedes-Benz of eyeglasses. Several years ago these glasses retailed at over $800! They would cost over $1,000 “IF” they were still available……. But they have stopped selling these glasses!”🥰
Will this be Silvertop’s last hike seeing the “vibrant colors of Summer”, just like my last roll of Kodachrome film?😳
Thankfully being Married to the prettiest Optician, has a few advantages Lol!😍
Boxes of prescription sunglasses, and eyeglasses are forever stashed away in our closet Lol!😇
“OK Silvertop……..you can wear this old pair of sunglasses I found in the closet. I work with a lab that has the rose colored lenses you like, but they are backed up possibly eight weeks!”🥰
