I know what you are thinking, that’s a sad looking Mail Box!🙄
Every couple of weeks Liz heads up to the secluded Mountain town of Kendall to visit with Linda a friend of ours!😍
Linda is getting up in years, and like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, she recently lost her husband!😮
One of the “Games” people play in Silvertop’s neck of the woods, and also Linda’s small town, is going through Mailboxes looking for credit cards, or checks!
She was contemplating a post office box…..
Liz tells me they cost $186 a year to rent a PO Box!😳
Linda doesn’t have much money, and she doesn’t need to spend what she has on a PO Box rental!😮
Last weekend someone from Church brought her firewood for next winter, the Mrs thought we would give her a locking Mailbox……….
One less bill to pay………😇
I started removing the old Mail Box, and Liz went inside to spend some time with our friend!😍
Kendall is a beautiful little community, only 13 minutes from our home going up the Mountain, but it’s such a different world!😮
Twenty six years ago, the Russian mafia was prevalent in this community……………
Today …. Liz tells me she can still “Feel a Darkness” that surrounds parts of this community, but for the most part this Mountain town has changed for the better!😇
New neighborhoods are being built, with homes starting in the mid $450,000………
Prices are rising everywhere my friends!

Liz and I would make this drive twice a week every week, no matter the weather!🥶
The Mrs lead our Worship band with vocals and Silvertop was on acoustic guitar.
It was a full band with several other good friends playing electric guitar, drum kit, and back up vocals!☺️
I remember the Pastor saying……..
“You sound good BUT……. You’re a little too loud!”
If it’s too loud, you’re too old my friends Lol!🤣😇
Our Church was looking for a location to buy/ build, and this was our temporary home!
We had a practice night, and then Worship on Sunday morning from 2006 to 2014!😊
We definitely have history in this community!😇
