‎The horns are sounding as we travel through time
‎We go deep into the lives of the ones before us
‎So we know how we may choose our footsteps
‎So the errors of the past do not haunt us with the same fate.

‎As we travel deep, we look at the history of the rebellious king
‎His words are filled with rosy promises of the future
‎In his hands are words of manipulation
‎Presenting you a ticking bomb in the guise of kind-hearted alms

‎A greener pasture he promises, not requesting from you a dime
‎"I shall lead my people to a greater land," his manipulative heart he pours
‎Compelling you to be engrossed in his lies, and you end up taking a misstep
‎And in the end, you end up in the pit he wants you in.

‎For history gives you knowledge, and to wisdom you must harken
‎For the present is the bridge between the past and the future
‎Take a quick glimpse, for things go step by step
‎Learn from the history of the rebellious king.

I doubt anyone will learn from the rebellious king, they better learn from those fallen for the tricks of that king, but believing we learn from history is a myth.

I guess that's right. The ones who fell are who we should learn from, not the king since he didn't suffer much casualty as the people he enslaved. It just happened to come out of my head that way. That’s the fun part about freewriting.

It’s not a myth that we learn from history. Today’s science exists because history was written. But to some, it might seem like a myth, since people in high places, and even those who aren’t, keep taking the same paths that once led to disaster.

That path to disaster is taken on purpose...one can never only be on the top. A crazy Nero to set everything at fire arises every generation if not twice.

If it’s disaster one seeks, it’ll be found. I guess he should be ready for the law of cause and effect.😂
