Global policies have never had a truly altruistic goal for society at large, even though they're often called "public policy."
The truth is that these policies are designed for a very small percentage of humanity — the ones who concentrate power.
The sad part is that most human beings don't inform themselves or fail to understand the traps embedded within these policies, and instead get distracted by the shiny trinkets that the powerful hand out.
That's why when people say they don't want to get involved in political matters, what they actually achieve is falling into the deepest part of a game designed for only a few to win.
Las políticas mundiales nunca han tenido un objetivo altruista para la sociedad en general aunque suelen llamarse políticas públicas.
Lo cierto es que esas políticas están diseñadas para un porcentaje muy reducido de la humanidad que concentra el poder.
Lo triste es que la gran mayoría de los seres humanos no se informa o no logra entender las trampas que están implícitas en las políticas , y solo se distraen con los espejitos de colores que distribuyen los poderosos.
Por eso cuando las personas dicen no querer involucrarse en asuntos políticos, lo que realmente logran es caer en lo más profundo del juego diseñado para que solo algunos ganen.

Es que en la vida cotidiana solo tenemos ejemplos de cómo a los políticos no les importa en absoluto la gente. Una pena, porque hay suficiente para todos, pero no para satisfacer la avaricia de unos cuantos.

And because most never inform themselves the governments say most people are too stupid to vote and should not have a vote. This is the result of no or bad education, not teaching people to think for themselves, punishing those who do and call them terrorists against the state... AI does the rest. Who never trains his/her brains is indeed too stupid to think and vote and will always be brainwashed.

Exactly, but education isn't deficient by default, it's by design. That's why I like a phrase I read somewhere that said education is the only true form of rebellion, or something like that.
