Sunday Thoughts, Cabbage Farm Photography 050326

Admittedly, whenever there's a forecast of typhoon coming, my anxiety levels goes up. I had traumatic experiences of typhoon which started back in 1998. The typhoon named Gading has caused huge devastation in our province where the "eye" had passed. Aside from devastation, we haven't had power for around 2 months.

Ten years after, in 2008, similar typhoon (Cosme) passed by our province and caused widespread damages too. Since technology and services are improving, the loss of power has been only a month.

In 2015, typhoon Lando battered our province for two days. Why? It has already left, but it has returned even stronger. The forecast was either wrong, or might be what it was. A prediction can sometimes change. There are some damages, but electricity was restored after 5 days.

This year (2025), a supertyphoon was predicted to cause huge devastation, and it did in some provinces. Our province is among the paths, and where the typhoon will exit from the mainland. Gladly, it has weakened when it hits the mountain ranges, but still caused some damages. Our electricity was restored after 2 days. In the pictures shares, are some of what the typhoon left in our town.

How beautiful the cabbage farm is! You can see a lot of them in Cordillera mountain range. We're particularly there in Benguet, a province in the mountain range.
