Photograph of a Halysidota harrisii caterpillar
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Everyone
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah EveryoneDear friends,
How are you all,
I hope you are all doing well. I am also doing well, Alhamdulillah.
Today I am going to share with you a photograph of a Halysidota harrisii caterpillar.
When I found this caterpillar, it was in my vegetable garden. It was moving very quickly from one place to another. I had to hurry a bit to take the photograph of the caterpillar. I was very happy to meet him. Because I love taking photographs of insects. The beauty of their bodies is very beautiful in photography. When I could, I took as many photographs as I liked. I am afraid of taking close-up photographs. Even then, I overcome my fear and take photographs of insects. When I try to take insect photographs by zooming in, I feel like the insects will come and sit on my hand. I put that fear away and do my work. This caterpillar is covered with numerous thick hairs. Due to such thick hairs, the face of the caterpillar is not visible well.
This is the caterpillar of a sycamore tussock moth (Halysidota harrisii).
Its characteristic feature is a bright orange head and a body covered with thick white and yellow-orange hairs.
Warning: Touching these hairs can cause irritation or allergic reactions on human skin.
