today I would like to show you one of my smaller painting projects.

Most of my figures are around 50 cm tall, but this complete Wolverine diorama is only about 17 cm high. Painting such a small figure was unusual for me because the details were much harder to reach.

The model started as a grey 3D print. Even without colour, I already liked the pose. Wolverine looks ready for battle, with his claws extended and a very strong expression.

The head was the most difficult part for me. The eyes, teeth, mouth and mask are extremely small. With a figure of this size, even one tiny brushstroke can change the whole face.

At first, I painted parts of the costume in yellow and black. Later, I changed several areas to blue because I preferred Wolverine’s classic yellow-and-blue appearance.

The blue gloves, boots and shoulder areas create a good contrast with the yellow suit. The red belt adds another small detail and makes the figure look more colourful.

I also painted the broken ground beneath Wolverine. The stones, cracks and metal parts make the scene look like a small battlefield.

Although this diorama is much smaller than my usual figures, it still has a lot of character. For me, the most enjoyable part is seeing the transformation from a simple grey print into a finished figure.

Hallo liebe Steemit-Community,

heute möchte ich euch eines meiner kleineren Bemalungsprojekte zeigen.

Die meisten meiner Figuren sind ungefähr 50 cm groß. Dieses komplette Wolverine-Diorama ist dagegen nur etwa 17 cm hoch. Eine so kleine Figur zu bemalen, war für mich ungewohnt, da die einzelnen Details wesentlich schwieriger zu erreichen waren.

Am Anfang war das Modell noch ein grauer 3D-Druck. Auch ohne Farbe gefiel mir die Haltung bereits sehr gut. Wolverine wirkt kampfbereit, mit ausgefahrenen Krallen und einem starken Gesichtsausdruck.

Der Kopf war für mich der schwierigste Teil. Augen, Zähne, Mund und Maske sind sehr klein. Bei einer Figur dieser Größe kann bereits ein winziger Pinselstrich den gesamten Ausdruck verändern.

Zuerst hatte ich einige Teile des Kostüms gelb und schwarz bemalt. Später änderte ich mehrere Bereiche zu Blau, weil mir Wolverines klassischer gelb-blauer Look besser gefiel.

Die blauen Handschuhe, Stiefel und Schulterteile bilden einen schönen Kontrast zum gelben Anzug. Der rote Gürtel bringt noch einen kleinen zusätzlichen Farbakzent hinein.

Auch den zerstörten Untergrund unter Wolverine habe ich bemalt. Die Steine, Risse und Metallteile lassen die Szene wie ein kleines Schlachtfeld wirken.

Obwohl dieses Diorama deutlich kleiner ist als meine üblichen Figuren, besitzt es trotzdem viel Ausdruck. Am meisten gefällt mir immer die Verwandlung von einem einfachen grauen Druck zu einer fertigen Figur.
