I'm exhausted from trying to be what everyone wants me to be.

For a long time, I thought the problem was that I wasn't good enough.

Whenever someone criticized me, I tried to change.

Whenever they didn't like my way of thinking, I looked for another way.

I thought success meant pleasing everyone.

But as time passed, I discovered a painful truth... The closer I got to other people's expectations, the further I drifted from myself.

I started losing the things that made me unique.

I began choosing my words carefully, hiding some of my dreams, and hesitating to express my opinions, not because I no longer believed in them, but because I was afraid no one would accept them.

Then one day I asked myself:

When was the last time I lived the way I wanted, not the way others wanted?

The question was simple... but the answer wasn't.

Life is too short to spend it trying to be a version that pleases everyone.

There will always be someone who sees you as wrong, no matter what you do.

And there will always be someone who doesn't understand you, even if you explain a thousand times. Therefore, don't let your worth depend on the applause of others, and don't let your identity change with every opinion you hear.

Be true to yourself.

Learn.
Change when you're convinced, not when you're forced.

The hardest loss isn't losing someone... it's losing yourself trying to please everyone.

And ultimately, I realized that true peace begins when you stop chasing approval... and start building your self-respect.

Tragically, most people are desperate to be liked, loved, respected, held in high regard, praised, supported or cherished. Some would also like to be feared, adored, …

The fact is: all of this always depends on others; none of it is confined to one’s own inner self. It is precisely this that should nourish one’s personality – and only from within.

I completely agree with you. When our worth becomes solely dependent on how others perceive us, we end up living a life that
doesn't truly reflect who we are.

True peace begins when we stop chasing the approval of others and start listening to our inner voice.

The hardest journey isn't becoming someone everyone admires,
but becoming someone you can genuinely respect when you're alone.
