Heat

It has been almost an hour. He is still standing holding the candle in his hand. It was the advise that the monk told him. He is wondering what would this mean? What would happen, if he just turned off the candle and went to sleep. He lost his patience and turned it off and went to the monk the next day. The monk asked: "What did you learn?". He replied: "It was just candle. What was I supposed to learn?". He ended up, receiving the same instructions before he left.

At night, the new candle was burning as slow as the first one. Or, maybe it was slower. He was thinking: "Have I been tricked into this? What would happen when I feel the heat on my hand? I will just drop it then. He might need his time to think of something to say. That is why he gave me this candle". He almost fell asleep, so, he turned it off and went to the monk the next morning.

As soon as he entered, he felt furious, as someone who was given a meaningless task. The monk replied: "Who said that you have to do it at night. You just went a head with doing it right after you left. Maybe, you should focus on timing more". He replied: "But, what would I learn from burning a candle. I am leaving!". The Monk replied: "Maybe you are right. But, choosing the perfect setting and focusing on it, would make you an entirely different experience, while you are doing the same thing. Even if it was the easiest of all".
