Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) is a first- and third-person action shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Despite sharing its name with the 2005 Star Wars: Battlefront II, this is a separate game and the second entry in the modern Battlefront series, following the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront. This cinematic Star Wars experience lets players take part in massive battles across all three eras of the Star Wars saga, featuring a single-player campaign following Iden Versio, the commander of Inferno Squad, an elite Imperial special forces unit, alongside a variety of multiplayer modes with iconic heroes, villains, starfighters, vehicles, and infantry combat. Players can fight across famous planets and locations while taking control of characters and factions from the Galactic Republic, Separatists, Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Resistance, and First Order.
