The diary game:02/06/2026 A stressful day on the farm, recovery of my NYSC file and seeing my sister off to school.

Hello everyone, welcome to another diary session with @abdulsamadyusuf.

My day started with Fajr prayer, Honestly it was stressful waking up because I was really enjoying my sleep But my alarm was blaring non-stop so I had to stand up and go do my prays to my creator, after the prayer, I went straight to prepare for farm work. My dad had already told me the previous day that will be going to the farm ,my own particular work was to weed the plant and panting of crops while my dad did the heaping since the land was soft from the last rain that fell.I got to the farm some minutes to 8 cause the farm is very far and started my weeding of the farm immediately. I couldn’t take pictures because my dad does not like it when your working and operating ur phone .

Finished our farm work by 11:30 came back home around 12:45pm. I was seriously exhausted and tired. Had to rest for just 5 minutes on the mat because my body was paining me and I was weak had to rest small before I could even move to take my bath
After bathing and eating my food, I wanted to relax small. Then my dad realized they is no pure water in the house again. I had to go out and wait for truck drivers who supply our area with satchet water,at last he finally came and I got some bags.

But something unexpected happened that changed my mood completely. I finally got my NYSC Certificate today I left it in a car months ago and I thought it was gone forever. Getting it back felt like finding money, Have kept it safe in an envelope now because I cannot lose it again the second time.

After all this stress I thought I could rest small. But my dad had other things for me to do that to wash our farm clothes and shoes to remove all the sweat and dirt from them.The water was cold and my hands were already tired, but I had to do it. If I don’t wash it our going to farm tomorrow won't be possible.

I had to lay up the farm clothes. I spread them out because the sun was already high, you know now when the sun is high is the right time to wash and spread clothes.,i also put our farm boots out in the sun after washing it too so they could dry well.

Around 2-3pm I joined my mum to prepare my sister who was going back to school. We packed her luggage, prepared her food, gave her money for transport and upkeep.

Then I escorted her to the road where she boarded the vehicle going to school. She was so joyful and happy She is escaping all the farm work at home now, everything is on me now heaping and planting, she will be enjoying in school while I’m here with the hoe But there’s no problem with that. I’m happy for her. That’s what big brothers are for.

After seeing her off, I came back and was now able to rest fully without disturbance,my day was kind of hectic today but alhamdullah I was able to cope,thanks everyone for engaging with me today on how my day went.
