THE DIARY GAME: UTME EXAMS SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE: (20/04/2026)

Hello, dear Steemians! Today, I want to talk about my experience as a supervisor for the current UTME exams, where I was in charge of monitoring webcams to ensure everything ran smoothly without network issues. It was a challenging and stressful position, but ultimately very rewarding.

I started my day early to ensure I arrived at the venue on time and had all systems operational. As soon as I got there, I logged into the software and conducted a thorough check to verify everything was working properly. Luckily, I wasn’t alone in this; I collaborated with other staff and officials to troubleshoot and prepare the venue for the exams. Each resource room had around 500 computers, and with three such rooms, that totaled 1500 computers to oversee. Additionally, we had 30 backup computers ready to replace any that malfunctioned during the exam, helping us avoid disruptions.

The first group of students began their exams at around 8:30 AM and finished by 10:45 AM. Thankfully, there were no significant issues during that time, and everything went smoothly. After a quick break, the second group started at 11:30 AM and finished at 1:30 PM. I then enjoyed a well-deserved lunch before the final group, which began at 2:00 PM and ended at 4:00 PM.

It was a long day, requiring constant vigilance on the screens to ensure everything was running perfectly. I had to focus on avoiding network problems, monitor the webcams, and assist other officials with any technical difficulties. By the time the exams concluded, I felt drained but relieved that everything had gone according to plan.

Once I got home, I freshened up, enjoyed a nice dinner, and took some time to relax after such a demanding day. It felt rewarding to know I contributed to the smooth and successful execution of the UTME exams for all the students.
