The Diary game:Better life with steem. A Day Guided by Nature’s Alarm, Light Drizzles, Family Duties, and Meaningful Encounters. 29 April
I woke up in the morning to the chirping of birds who have started staying on the huge trees behind our house. These birds were not present during the winter, as they usually stay in sheltered places in such harsh weather, but in summer they return to these trees. Since my room faces that side, their chirping is quite audible and works as a natural alarm for me. As soon as I heard it, my eyes opened. I got ready for the morning prayers and began my day by offering prayers at the nearby mosque. After the prayers, I returned home.
I did some physical exercises to keep myself fit and agile and to burn excess calories. Soon after, I helped my mother in the kitchen with some morning chores and then had my breakfast. After that, I went to my room to read a few chapters and stick to my timetable as usual. Meanwhile, a light drizzle started, which lowered the temperature a bit, making the weather pleasant and perfect to stay warm indoors.
I had taken leave from the office today, as I needed to help my parents with some farming work. The farming season is on, and people are engaged in these activities with full enthusiasm and zeal. After lunch, my father asked me to go and bring fertilisers from a shop located about 20 km away. A day earlier, I had bought some fertilisers from a nearby dealer, but my father was not satisfied with the quality, so we had to return them. Now, it was time to get better-quality fertilisers from a trusted dealer.
I took a shortcut route, the same one I usually take to go to my office. After reaching there, I bought a few bags and containers of fertilisers, loaded them into my vehicle, and made the payment. Since my maternal aunt’s home was nearby, I decided to visit. I hadn’t seen my cousin in a long time, so it felt like a good opportunity to meet him. He was pleasantly surprised to see me at such an unusual time and was quite excited, even thinking that I might stay for the night. We spent some good time together, had tea, and shared a few light and playful moments. His insistence on having more tea was a kind gesture, and overall, it was a warm and memorable meeting.
After some time, I decided to return home via the same shortcut route. It took me around 20–25 minutes to reach back. On the way, I stopped at the gym, which lies along the route, and completed my workout. It was around 9 PM when I finally reached home. I had my dinner, felt a bit exhausted after the day and the gym, and went to bed earlier than usual.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.

Assalamu Alaikum !
Hey, I really enjoyed reading your diary - it felt so peaceful and rejuvenating. Starting the day with birds chirping instead of a noisy alarm is simply the best; it really sets a calm vibe for the entire day. I admire how you managed to juggle everything - from prayers and assisting your family to farm work, while still finding time for exercise and reading. It truly reflects your discipline. The spontaneous visit to your cousin added an extra special touch to the day; those unexpected moments are often the most cherished. And finishing off with a gym session after a long day's work is truly impressive. It sounds like a simple yet incredibly fulfilling day.
MaAssalam👍
