The Diary game. Better life with steem. A Day of Orchard Work, Friends, and Nilnag. 31 july 2026
I woke up early in the morning and started my day by offering Fajr prayer. As Muslims, prayer is an obligation, and beginning the day with it brings peace, comfort, and a sense of calm. After finishing my prayer, I spent some time exercising. Regular exercise helps me stay physically fit, keeps my mind fresh, and gives me energy for the rest of the day.
Once I finished my workout, I had breakfast. Soon afterward, my uncle called and asked me to accompany him to one of our apple orchards, where we had to spray fungicides. It had been several days since the last spray, and applying the fungicide was essential because apple scab is a dangerous fungal disease that can severely damage the fruit and make it unmarketable. Preventing this disease requires timely spraying, so we couldn’t delay the work.
When we reached the orchard, the sky was covered with dark clouds. We were worried that it might rain, because if it did immediately after spraying, much of our effort would be wasted. So, we decided to wait for a while. During that time, we filled the spray tank with water and prepared everything. Once we felt confident that the weather had stabilized and rain was unlikely, we began spraying the fungicide. The entire task took us until around 12:30 p.m.
After returning home, one of my friends kept calling me because he wanted to visit another orchard located on the opposite side of our village, up on a hillside. I told him I would join him after lunch. Once I had finished eating, I met him. He has recently developed a keen interest in orchard management, so we have started visiting orchards together to learn more about apple cultivation and disease management.
On our way, we called another friend whose orchard is located in the same area, and he joined us as well. When we reached the orchard, the clouds had once again started gathering. We sat there for some time, enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, inspected the apple trees, checked for signs of disease, and discussed whether another spray would be needed. We also examined the branches to see if any of them had become too heavy with fruit and needed support.
After finishing our inspection, we left the orchard. Meanwhile, another friend of ours had gone to the Nilnag area, about seven kilometers from our village, to play cricket. Since it had rained there, the match ended early, and he called us, asking us to meet him in Nilnag. We quickly agreed and drove there.
After reaching Nilnag, we stopped at a local roadside restaurant, where we ordered chicken and enjoyed a delicious meal together. We met a few local people there, had pleasant conversations, and spent quite some time enjoying the beautiful scenery of Nilnag. It was a relaxing and memorable evening.
As the sun began to set, we returned home. I still had a few errands to run, so I went to the market to buy some household items, including milk. I also stopped by a friend’s shop, spent some time chatting with him, and then finally returned home.
At around 9:30 p.m., I had dinner. Afterward, I watched television for a short while before going to bed. That is how I spent my entire day, balancing work in the orchards, time with friends, and a peaceful evening with family.
Thank you
