The Diary game:Better life with steem.I paid a visit to a distant orchard full of peace and serenity
Upon getting up very early in the morning—not because of the alarm set on my phone, but due to the chirping of birds perched on the huge walnut trees behind our house—I felt a natural sense of freshness. Their different sounds make our mornings quite amazing, bringing life and a positive connection with the environment. These sounds make us realize that a new day has begun and a new opportunity has come our way.
After getting up, I offered my morning prayers, as I always prefer to begin my day by bowing down in devotion. Upon completing my prayers and making supplications, I returned home. It was then time for some physical exercise to keep myself fit and agile throughout the day and to burn excess calories, which can otherwise be harmful. With heart-related issues on the rise in the valley, staying physically active feels more important than ever.
Once I finished exercising, I came back home and helped my mother with some kitchen chores. Shortly after, I had my breakfast, and then it was time to leave for the office. These days, I have been driving a newly purchased second-hand car that my brother bought a few days ago. It has been a good experience so far, as it is quite fuel-efficient compared to my previous car, helping me save some money.
Upon reaching the office, I got straight to work, as usual. I have been assigned the responsibility of approving tasks completed by others. I logged into the portal and worked continuously throughout the day, taking a short break for lunch in between. By the afternoon, I wrapped up my work and returned home.
With the spring season underway, farming activities are in full swing. After reaching home, I had to spray pesticides in the orchard beside our house. We have planted an imported variety of apples there, which are more susceptible to fungal attacks, so regular spraying is necessary to protect them.
Later, I accompanied my uncle to another orchard located about 10 km away, nestled within a forested area. Shepherds often pass through this area with large herds of sheep, which can damage both the apple trees and the grass that helps retain soil moisture. I drove us to the orchard, and along the way, my uncle had a few tasks to complete, so I had to wait for him for some time on the road near the orchard.
Being there felt incredibly peaceful. The serenity of the place is unmatched—no crowds, no noise, just nature at its best. It often makes one wish to stay there forever, but the lack of basic facilities and our dependence on modern comforts compel us to return to our usual lives.
After spending some quality time there, we headed back home in the evening. Soon after arriving, I offered my Maghrib prayers. Later, I had to sit at the shop, as my brother had gone to his in-laws’ house. His wife is going through her post-maternity period after delivering a baby a few weeks ago, so he needs to be there to support her during this important time.
I then went to my uncle’s house to fetch some milk and also stopped by a friend’s shop to buy some fruits before returning home. By the time I got back, it was dinner time. I had my meal and then went to my room, where I spent some time on social media. Soon, I started feeling sleepy, and without delaying any further, I went to bed and called it a day.
