The Diary Game : One Knock That Changed My Entire Day. 28th, July,2026.

Hello everyone, it's yours truly @joken. I am happy to share how my day went today.

My day started on a peaceful note. I woke up in the morning, said a short prayer, and headed to the kitchen. Today, I decided to start my morning with a glass of warm water mixed with apple cider vinegar.

After that, I took my bath and planned to relax for a while before preparing lunch. Just as I was resting, I heard a knock on my door. Little did I know that one knock would completely change the course of my day.

When I opened the door, I saw electricity officials (popularly called NEPA). They informed us that they wanted to connect all the flats in our compound to one electricity meter.

Since there are about four or five flats in the compound, I immediately knew this could create many problems.

Some tenants use air conditioners and other heavy appliances, while others use much less electricity. Sharing one meter would likely lead to misunderstandings and disagreements over electricity bills.

At that time, only my neighbor and I were around, so we explained why we were not comfortable with the arrangement. The discussion became quite intense and lasted for several hours. Eventually, we called the landlord, who also joined the conversation with the officials.

At first, they insisted that they could not provide separate meters because the electrical lines had not been separated.

They also told us that separating the lines would require us paying a huge amount of money, which we felt was unfair.

We continued discussing the matter until they finally agreed to provide each flat with its own meter and completed the connection.

The whole process took much longer than expected. By the time everything was settled, it was already after 6:00 p.m. I was completely exhausted and even had a headache from all the discussions.

I no longer had the strength to cook, so I simply grabbed some snacks, ate, and called it a day.

Although my plans were interrupted, I'm thankful that the issue was resolved peacefully.

Sometimes a single unexpected moment can change an entire day, but I'm grateful everything ended on a positive note.
