Steemit Challenge Season-32 Week-1 || "Traditional Milkshakes that beat the heat- Badaam Paal(Almond Milkshake)"

The healthy Milkshakes that beat the heat
We are situated in the tropical region and one of the hottest nations. The climate of summer brings about plenty of sun and very hot temperature. Drink water and consume water-rich foods that excellent idea to survive in the heat. People here are traditionally made and took different types of cool drinks for that purpose. This is so because our body during summer losses a lot of liquid due to sweating and hence we should increase the intake of water. Hence, eating water-rich food in summer is healthy. For instance, you may consume water-rich fruits, vegetables, and other cool drinks.
People residing in various parts of our country are necessary to consume some type of cool drink to protect themselves from the summer heat and also maintain their fluid level in the body. Our ancestors prepared these cold beverages for us and left us their recipes. In this connection, several milk-based drinks have gained popularity here; it is my honor to present to you a few of them; here goes one such invention: Baddam Paal (Almond Milkshake).
Ingredients of Baddam Paal (Almond Milkshake) and their nutrition facts
- Milk
- Almonds
- Basil Seeds
- Sugar
Nutrition facts of Milk
It is a balanced food as well. This product provides the body with more than 13 nutrients that include protein, calcium, vitamin D, and B vitamins. It is also important for bone growth and muscle development.
Benefits of Milk:
Bone Health: The calcium and Vitamin D content in milk improves bone strength.
Muscle Development: The proteins called whey and casein contained in the milk help in muscle development.
Immunity: Zinc and Vitamin A content in milk help in boosting the immunity of the body.
Nutritional facts of Almonds
Almonds contain a number of nutrients in a single serving size of 28 grams which means about 23 almonds. They are an ideal source of protein, fiber, and fat content which helps the heart remain healthy.
- Benefits of Almonds: Almonds help in reducing bad cholesterol and improving heart and brain functions.
Nutritional facts of Basil Seeds
Basil Seeds (Sabja seeds) are rich in fiber, protein, plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids, and minerals such as iron and calcium. They help soothe body heat, improve digestion, and aid in weight management.
- During the summer, consuming soaked Sabja seeds along with cold beverages provides a cooling effect to the body.
How to make Badaam Paal(Almond Milkshake)
STEP 1:
Take a cup of water in a bowl, add two spoons of Sabja seeds to it, and let them soak thoroughly. Soaking them for approximately 15 minutes will yield excellent results.
STEP 2:
Grind 100 grams of almonds thoroughly in a mixer grinder until they turn into a fine powder.
STEP 3:
In a large bowl, add half a liter of boiled and cooled milk. Then, add the ground almond powder to it, and add sugar to taste.
STEP 4:
Now, take two spoons of well soaked Basil seeds, add a glass of water to them, and mix well.
STEP 5:
After mixing these thoroughly, place the mixture in the refrigerator for two hours; alternatively, if you wish to drink it immediately, add ice cubes and mix.
Now the Badaam Paal(Almond Milkshake) is ready, Pour this mixture into a glass and serve; before doing so, sprinkle chopped almonds over the top.
