The healthy Milkshakes that beat the heat

As I told last week's post we are situated in the tropical region and one of the hottest nations in the world. The climate of summer brings about plenty of sun and very hot temperature. Drink water and consume water-rich foods that excellent idea to survive in the heat. People here are traditionally made and took different types of cool drinks for that purpose. This is so because our body during summer losses a lot of liquid due to sweating and hence we should increase the intake of water. Hence, eating water-rich food in summer is healthy. For instance, you may consume water-rich fruits, vegetables, and other cool drinks.

Our ancestors prepared these cold beverages for us and left us their recipes. In this connection, several milk-based drinks have gained popularity here; it is my honor to present to you a few of them; here goes one such invention: Mango Mastani (Mango Milkshake).

Mangoes grow in abundance here. During the mango season, a variety of sweet treats and beverages are prepared using mangoes; one such creation is the Mango Mastani. Since mangoes and milk are the primary ingredients, this is considered to be highly nutritious, beneficial for the body, and an excellent food choice for hot days.

  • Almonds
  • Cashewnuts
  • Raisins
  • Sugar

Nutrition facts of Milk

It is a balanced food as well. This product provides the body with more than 13 nutrients that include protein, calcium, vitamin D, and B vitamins. It is also important for bone growth and muscle development.

Benefits of Milk:
  • Bone Health: The calcium and Vitamin D content in milk improves bone strength.

  • Muscle Development: The proteins called whey and casein contained in the milk help in muscle development.

  • Immunity: Zinc and Vitamin A content in milk help in boosting the immunity of the body.

Nutritional facts of Mango

The mango is a nutritious fruit rich in vitamins and minerals. Mangoes contain Vitamin C, copper, folate, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E.

Benefits of Mango:
  • Since mangoes are rich in Vitamin A, it is essential to include them in your diet. This vitamin not only supports overall eye health but also helps prevent age-related macular degeneration and improves vision.

  • Mangoes contain Vitamin C, which is beneficial for your immune system and overall health. It enhances both the quantity and quality of white blood cells. Furthermore, it strengthens immunity and helps prevent diseases.

  • Mangoes, rich in Vitamin E, make for a nutritious snack. As a powerful antioxidant, they reduce the risk of chronic diseases, protect cells from free radical damage, and enhance overall health.

Nutritional facts of Almonds

Almonds contain a number of nutrients in a single serving size of 28 grams which means about 23 almonds. They are an ideal source of protein, fiber, and fat content which helps the heart remain healthy.

Benefits of Almonds:
  • Almonds help in reducing bad cholesterol and improving heart and brain functions.

How to make "Mango Mastani (Mango Milkshake)

STEP 1:

Peel one kilogram of well-ripened mangoes and cut them into small pieces.

STEP 2:

If the mango tastes sweet, no sugar is needed; if it tastes sour, add the necessary amount of sugar and let it soak for a short while.

STEP 3:

Place the chopped pieces into a blender jar and blend thoroughly to prepare a mango puree.

STEP 4:

Add one cup of boiled and cooled milk, and mix well again.

STEP 5:

After mixing these thoroughly, let's pour this mixture into a glass tumbler. If the quantity is excessive, pour it into additional tumblers as needed; filling the tumbler three-quarters full is sufficient.

STEP 6:

Now, take the dry fruits—such as dates, cashews, raisins, and almonds—and chop them into small pieces.

STEP 7:

Take the ice cream from the refrigerator and add one spoonful of it to the tumbler, ensuring that it does not mix in.

STEP 6:

Now, place the toppings on the ice cream—that is, garnish it with the chopped dryfruits.

Now the "Mango Mastani (Mango Milkshake)" is ready, Serve this as is with a spoon. You may also add a straw, but it should be a wide one.

  2. Make a Mango Mastaani (Mango Milkshake) is shared in the course or make it as per your style, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images. (4 Marks)

  3. List the ingredients and their prices in your local currency and in STEEM.(1 Mark)

  4. Make a good Presentation of your recipe with date tag and a selfie. (2 Marks)

  5. Share the post to any social media and share the link in your posts comment section (1 Mark)
