The Traditional Milkshakes that beat the heat
As I mentioned in last week's post, we are situated in the tropical region and one of the hottest nations in the world. The summer climate brings about plenty of sun and very hot temperatures. Drinking water and consuming water-rich foods that excellent idea to survive in the heat. People here traditionally made and took different types of cool drinks for that purpose. This is so because our body during summer loses a lot of liquid due to sweating, and hence we should increase the intake of water. Hence, eating water-rich food in summer is healthy. For instance, you may consume water-rich fruits, vegetables, and other cool drinks.
Although our country lies in a tropical zone, apples are cultivated in the Himalayan and Western Ghats mountain ranges—particularly in states like Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttar Pradesh. Since they are available throughout the seasons, it is common practice here to prepare various cold beverages using apples; in this context, the Apple Rose Milkshake is a traditional drink that I am proud to introduce to you.
Ingredients of "Apple Rose Milkshake and their nutrition facts
- Milk
- Apples
- Rose Essence
- Sugar
Nutrition facts of Milk
It is a balanced food as well. This product provides the body with more than 13 nutrients that include protein, calcium, vitamin D, and B vitamins. It is also important for bone growth and muscle development.
Benefits of Milk:
Bone Health: The calcium and Vitamin D content in milk improves bone strength.
Muscle Development: The proteins called whey and casein contained in the milk help in muscle development.
Immunity: Zinc and Vitamin A content in milk help in boosting the immunity of the body.
Nutritional facts of
Apples contain carbohydrates and fiber. They are free from fat and cholesterol. They are an excellent, nutritious fruit for weight loss, heart health, and improved digestion.
Benefits of Apple
The Vitamin C it contains helps strengthen the immune system.
Its antioxidants and soluble fiber help lower cholesterol levels.
Due to its low glycemic index, people with diabetes can consume it in moderation, following medical advice.
It is easily digestible and promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
It boosts blood cell levels (hemoglobin) and helps prevent anemia.
How to make "Apple Rose Milkshake"
STEP 1:
Wash the apples thoroughly, cut them open to remove the seeds, and chop them into small pieces.
STEP 2:
Place the chopped apple pieces in a mixer jar, add the required amount of sugar, and blend once.
STEP 3:
Once the apple pieces are partially blended, add the milk and blend once more.
STEP 4:
Now, add rose petals or three to four drops of store-bought rose essence. You can chew and eat fresh, clean rose petals just as they are. So, there is no need to hesitate about adding rose petals to this.

STEP 5:
Grind the mixture well until it becomes a smooth liquid.
STEP 6:
Place this mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. If you wish to drink it immediately, add some ice cream, mix well, and pour into a glass
Now the "Apple Rose Milkshake " is ready; serve topped with a few rose petals.
