The Diary game: [4/05/26] New Week, New Academic Term.

Happy new week guys and welcome to another diary session with your boy @sharpibrash.

It's not just a new week for me, it's resumption to work. So, a new academic term commenced today, and it was a mixed feeling for me. I was already used to not getting up early, and getting prepared for work during the week that it was a bit of an issue for me to stand up as early as 5:30 am to get prepared for work.

On another hand, I missed my students so much and the excitement of seeing them once more excites me that I couldn't wait to meet them. Alas, I had to reach a common ground with my emotions and get myself up to prepare for the days work.

I got up at exactly 6:00 am and by that time, I was already late because I have to be at school before 7:30 am.

I quickly rushed to prepare my breakfast of rice and stew. I had already prepared the stew overnight, so all I had to do was boil the rice and serve with the stew. While that was cooking, I quickly brushed my teeth and performed my ablution to observe my morning prayer. I finished doing that bat exactly 6:40am.

As at then, my rice was ready and I served in my flask and put in my bag. I dashed to the bathroom to have my bath. I came out of the bathroom at exactly 7:05 am and I remembered that I'm yet to polish my shoe. I quickly did that and then brought out my cloth.

On Mondays, it's compulsory to put on white shirts and black trousers and I've already ironed them down already,so I just picked them up.

I put them on, applied my perfume and left the house at exactly 7:24am.

I got to school by 7:36am. It takes 15 minutes to get to my school from my house. I struggled to meet up, but I guess I couldn't do more than that. I fumed at myself for getting to school late on the first day of resumption, but the sight of my students gave me joy.

There were lots of hugs here and there and I'm so pained that I didn't capture any of those moments. I promise to do so, and share it with us here.

So, first day of resumption and we got the work started. We had our teacher's meeting and prayer, and then assembly with the students after which we all went to class to begin work officially.

I gave out scheme of work for mathematics and further mathematics to the SS1 and SS2 students as the SS3 students would be writing their Waec Examination.

I had gists with some of my students and colleagues at our leisure.
School closed by 2:30pm and that was it for the day.

The work for the day was over at school,but it wasn't over for me yet. I had another duty call, my home lesson. So, I left school and headed to my students estate.

As usual, I had to wait for the call before I could get in, but this time around, it didn't take long.
I entered his house and we got to work immediately.

We spent almost three hours together, because the topic we were treating was a bit tactical, so I had to use different methods to explain to him.

He eventually got it, and I was so glad that he did.
We finished class and I headed home tired, but fulfilled to have impacted lives for the day, which is enough for me to have a good night.
