SHOW YOUR SKILL TALENT TIME W104 👉 ART, INNOVATION, HANDMADE, UPCYCLING, PHOTOGRAPHY, POETRY & MORE
Hello wonderful members of this community,
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying beautiful moments of creativity. Today I am happy to share another pencil portrait artwork that I created as my entry for New Contest Week 103 // Show Your Skill...Talent Time 👉 Art, Innovation, Handmade, Upcycling, Photography, Poetry & More, organized by @mesola. For this piece, I decided to make a realistic pencil portrait of a young girl with a calm and charming expression. Sometimes a simple pencil and paper can create something meaningful when combined with patience and imagination, and today I will be taking everyone through the process of creating this realistic pencil portrait I created. Stay tuned!
Drawing items
• A4 paper
• mechanical pencil
• graphite pencils
• 4B and 6B pencil
• charcoal pencil
• black pen
• eraser
• sharpener
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1
First, I moved directly to the eyes. I usually enjoy drawing the eyes because they bring emotion and life into a portrait. I carefully worked on the pupils and eyelids while paying attention to small details such as reflections and eyelashes while also drawing the nose.
Step 2
Next, I gradually worked on the shading of the face. This part required patience because I wanted the skin to appear soft and smooth. I carefully built the hues little by little using gentle pencil strokes and blending techniques. I also added the lips in this stage.
Step 3
After that, the hair was next. Instead of rushing into drawing individual strands immediately, I first focused on the dark masses and shapes of the hair. Later, I added finer details and loose strands to create texture. Watching the hair gradually develop made the portrait feel more complete.
Step 4
After doing that, I then worked on the neck area and clothing; using my 4B pencil, I gradually shaded the neck and clothing.
Step 5
Finally, I outlined my entire work, added little details, and added contrast to the face and all necessary places. And below is my final result.

Completing this portrait gave me another opportunity to learn and improve. Every artwork teaches me patience and reminds me that progress happens one pencil stroke at a time. Thank you for visiting my post and supporting my artistic journey. I appreciate every view, comment, and encouragement from this wonderful community.
I'd like to invite @us-andrew, @caringmanasseh, @m-princess, and @tempestinyang.

Wow You have created a very beautiful and realistic portrait. The shading of the eyes and face is especially impressive, which makes the emotions in the picture clear. You explained each step very well. Which shows how much effort and patience you put into your art. The hair details and soft shading made the artwork even more attractive. Both creativity and skill are evident in your drawing. It is truly admirable to create such a wonderful art with a simple pencil. May Allah grant you more success and you always share such beautiful artwork.
