The dairy game:(3/08/2026)rainy day and peeling cassava

Good day, everyone. Welcome to another diary session @abdulsamadyusuf

Today has been a very rainy day, but I was able to get to the farm before the rain started. My main work was to weed and uproot cassava that we will use to prepare Akpu. My dad went to another farm in a different area to continue some work there, while I remained at the section where we had previously applied herbicide. The weeds had started drying up, making it easier to continue the work. After completing the weeding, I uprooted enough cassava and and arrange it into my sack to take home.

When I got home, my sister joined me in peeling the cassava so we could finish quickly and soak it. While we were still working, the rain started falling, but thankfully we had a shed over us, so we continued without any problem until the work was done.

As we were washing and soaking the cassava, my dad called me because someone had reported an issue concerning one of the farms. I went there to inspect the situation, took some pictures, and sent them to my dad so he could see what had happened and decide on the next step. It needed attention before it lead to a dispute.

Later in the day, I delivered some cassava stems to a friend in another area for planting. To get there, I had to cross a small river. About two weeks ago, the river was heavily flooded because of continuous rainfall, making it difficult to cross. Thankfully, the water level has gone down since there hasn't been much heavy rain recently, so crossing was much easier this time.

Overall, today was productive despite the rainy weather. I was able to complete the farm work, help my family with processing the cassava, assist my dad by checking the farm, and deliver cassava stems to my friend. I am grateful for the strength to accomplish everything, and I look forward to another productive day tomorrow.

Thank you for reading, and see you all in my next diary update.
