The Diary Game: Going to the market in the rain 29 july 2026
Hello steemit friends. Hope the rain didn't disrupt your business today? The rain can cause headache as it will just drop small and stop then start again. I will like to share my day to day activities for today being Wednesday. A loudspeaker in a nearby mosque woke me up when the caller is saying the adzan (call to prayer) for the early morning prayer around 5:00am . I stand up to prepare for the prayer by doing the ablution and some supplication to start the prayer. I thank ALLAH for sparing my life again to wake up to another day. After the prayer, I slept again and woke up by 8:00am to start the house chores . I wash the plate , sweep the entire house and the compound then proceeded to cooking.
The food I prepared this morning was rice and stew . I already have the stew at home so I have to prepare only the rice. I prepared 3 cups of rice. Put the cooking pot on fire , add water , I wash the rice 3 times , add salt to taste. It started boiling. Before I could say jack the food is ready. I dish for myself , my baby and my husband, we ate and we are satisfied.
Planning to go to market today, immediately I finished eating, i breastfeed my baby and we are going to the market to buy few things. On our way to the market, the rain started drizzling, I didn't stop or wait for the rain because if I wait , I won't be able to go again today. I boarded a tricycle so that I can get to the market faster . The marketplace was not tarred so everywhere was slippery . I am taking my step gently so that I won't fall down with my baby on my back.
The few things I bought are shoe , bag , I bought white socks for my baby girl for school. Shirt, sandal , trouser, gown soap. I also bought foodstuffs like rice , spaghetti, groundnut oil , palm oil , beans, eggs and fish. I also bought beverages Milo , bournvita , peak milk, peak choco and some biscuits for my baby. I saw a new biscuit product and I want to try it so I bought just two pieces. The biscuit is very delicious it's name is milk ball . l love the taste of the biscuit.
As I got home , I am already hungry again. I prepared noodles so I can eat this afternoon. I make the noodles to be spicy by adding grounded pepper, groundnut oil and crayfish. I dish it and ate with my daughter. Waiting for my husband to come back from work and I started preparing dinner . Something simple. I observe the last prayer in the night , make some supplication and I went to bed . Thank you for always reading.
