The Diary Game:Cooking Vegetables And Making Garri For Swallow (05/06/2026)
Hubby brought water leaf vegetables from is farm and I had to cook from it. I took some and left the rest of it. The ones I carry from, I remove the sticks from it and cut it into a big bowl and rinse it. When I’m done rinsing it all. I use filter to remove the one’s underneath the bowl and separate the sand from the vegetables. I rinse again and kept in a bowl. I rinse the peppers I want to use in making the vegetables, I put the peppers inside blender, I add onions and locust beans, i blend altogether. I bring out a clean pot from the cabinet and rinse, I allow to dry and poured vegetable oil. After pouring it, I poured my chopped onions and locust beans. I stir and pour the blended peppers inside and stir, I cover and allow it fry and I added melon. I stir it and add seasoning and chicken broth. I cover for few minutes before I stir.

I add a pinch of salt as locust beans as already filled up the space of salt. I stir and add proteins. I allow the proteins to marinate into the soup sauce for a while, I remove the proteins after 5minutes and I add the water leaf. I stir a little because water leaf soup draws and as such I do not want it to draw. I want it firm and edible. I cook for 3minutes and the food is set. I get a kettle and pour water to make garri, immediately I’m done pouring water into the kettle, I washed the plate used in cooking the water leaf. I put the washed plate face down on the kitchen sink, in other for the water to dry off. I’m about rounding up the dish washing and the water is already bringing out vapor. I get a bigger bowl and pour the boil water inside and I poured same quantity of garri and covers it.

After few minutes, I turn the garri with turning stick and add little boiled water, I turn again and this time it’s perfect for wrapping. I wrapped it into a small transparent nylon. I put into a warmer and cover it. When I’m done arranging it into the warmer. I dish out my kids own and feed my son . When I’m done, I had to go take a shower because of heat. I relax a bit and wait till I feel hungry and get my soup from pot and eat. I managed to eat one wrap of garri and it’s quite deep delicious .
