Hello everyone.welcome to another episode of my diary session with yours truly @gaiussam. Today I will be sharing about the experience of my first time on stage and how you can overcome stage fright.

I have always been shy to speak in front of crowds as an introvert.t.One memory I’ll never forget was the first time I spoke in front of a crowd. I was given an assignment in church to take the announcement session. That day it was as if I should just disappear from the world,or the ground should open and swallow me.The microphone almost fell from my hand.i held it with my two hands so tight.I talk slowly stammering. That experience was enough to make me give up on public speaking entirely. But thank God, instead of quitting, it pushed me to go on a mission to discover what makes people good speakers.

I Found a way to overcome Stage Fright

Along the way, I found the very first step: OVERCOMING STAGE FRIGHT.

Let me explain why you experience stage fright first. Because when you know your WHY, it becomes easier to solve the issue.
There’s a hormone called adrenaline. It’s released in the body whenever we sense danger, like seeing a snake or a moving vehicle rushing toward us.
Adrenaline activates your survival instinct, preparing you to either fight or run away. With it surging through your body, you suddenly feel stronger and can even run faster than usual.
But it also comes with side effects: a racing heartbeat, shaky hands and feet, sweaty palms, restless thoughts, or even a blank mind.

Now here’s the problem: when you stand before people to speak, your brain mistakenly interprets it as danger and releases adrenaline. So, just like you wouldn’t stand still in the road with a trailer coming at you, your brain tells you not to stand before an audience. That’s why many people avoid public speaking. But that’s the mistake; running away only keeps you from becoming a good speaker. The only way to overcome stage fright is to BE BOLD ENOUGH TO SPEAK even while afraid. That’s you telling your brain: “Hey, calm down. I’m just speaking to people. There’s no danger here. It's not going to kill me." Speak as many times as necessary until your brain finally gets the info. One day, it'll click.

So, there’s nothing like “I can’t speak in public.” Actually, you can. You just need to work on yourself. No one is born an excellent speaker. It is not a talent. It is a skill developed over time. Those people are able express themselves beautifully in public because they have mastered their fear. And you can do the same too.

Thank you for Reading.
