The Diary Game: 1AM Pumping, Zoom Meeting, and Juicy Oranges on Sunday (27/04/2026)
Hello everyone! It is me @gideonova and welcome back to another session of my diary. Today was a Sunday filled with faith, family, and some genuinely sweet moments. Let's get into it!
I woke up in the middle of the night and the first thing I noticed was that NEPA had brought light. I tried to stand up immediately but my body simply refused to cooperate — it was as if everything had gone heavy and unresponsive. I waited patiently until I could move properly and then got up and headed outside to pump water. It was around 1AM but there was no hesitation about it. NEPA rarely brings light so when they do you make full use of it no matter the hour. I pumped until it was done and then went back to bed. 💪
By the time I woke up properly the sun was already coming out gradually and I could hear everyone's footsteps moving around the house. I came out and saw my family already eating so I just joined them and had rice and beans. When I finished I went to feed the dog but they had already taken care of it. Me and my brother then went to wash the plates together and we had to move quickly because of our Sunday Christian meeting — even though we would be doing it on Zoom due to transport fare challenges, we still had to be there and prepared. 🙏
When the plates were done I quickly revised the material we would be covering and joined the meeting right on time. It ran for two hours and it was genuinely meaningful — the kind of meeting that leaves you feeling spiritually fed and grounded. When it ended my mom conducted my Bible study with me and it was a really enjoyable session — learning new biblical lessons and the stories behind them and what practical wisdom we can draw from them. By the time we finished the study the afternoon had fully arrived.
In the afternoon hunger hit hard so I went for beans and garri to sort it out. After eating I browsed the internet for a while, played some Free Fire matches, and then went to sleep until the evening. My body clearly still had rest to collect from the 1AM shift. 😴
When I woke up in the evening my mom and brother were already preparing dinner. My mom had the beans going on the coal pot and I jumped straight in to help — sorting out vegetables alongside my brother which made the work go significantly faster with three of us working together. 🌿
Then NEPA brought light — and took it back in less than a minute. Not even sixty seconds. I did not even flinch this time. I just moved on and went back outside to continue helping my mom until she was at a point where she could manage the rest herself. Then I went inside and got into a Free Fire match. 🎮
While I was playing my brother came in and handed me some oranges. He said my mom had said we should drink them. After my match finished I peeled the orange and we shared it between us. And those oranges were something else entirely — juicy, sweet, and so satisfying that I genuinely did not want them to end. Every piece felt like it shouldn't be the last. That small moment of sitting with my brother sharing oranges after a Sunday of faith and family work is one of those simple things that stays with you. 🍊
When dinner was ready I fed the dog and joined my family at the table. We ate rice and beans together and it was the perfect close to a full and meaningful Sunday. 🌙
From pumping water at 1AM to sharing oranges with my brother in the evening — today had everything a good Sunday should have. Faith, family, food, and small moments of sweetness that remind you what life is really about. 💛
How was your Sunday? I hope it was memorable and joyful. See you next time! 💕
Thank you so much for reading my diary! 💕
