The Diary Game: New Headphones, Broken Fan, and a Refund That Saved the Day 🎧 (01/05/2026)

Hello everyone! I am @gideonova and I will be sharing all about my interesting and amazing day today. So let's get into it!

When I woke up I helped my mom warm the leftover foods and when everything was ready we sat down together for breakfast. We had rice and beans with stew — warm, satisfying, and a solid start to the day. After eating my brother dressed up and headed out for his exam. I went back inside and started gaming. 🍚

After playing for a while I suddenly remembered my dog hadn't been fed yet so I went and sorted that out immediately. When I came back and was about to continue gaming my phone rang. I answered and it turned out that the package I had ordered online was ready for pickup. That changed the whole plan for the day. I went straight to take my bath, got dressed, and headed out. 🎮

The walk to the pickup location took about an hour — but honestly it felt fine to me. The fresh air and movement were good after a morning of sitting around. When I got to the area though I couldn't find the exact building right away and ended up going back and forth trying to locate it. Eventually I found it, collected my package, and by that time it was already afternoon. 💪

On my way back I stopped to buy some bread and then flagged down a bike man to take me the rest of the way home. When I got back I freshened up first because I was sweating from all that walking around in the afternoon heat. Then I ate bread and beans — a quick and satisfying lunch after the expedition. 🍞

After eating I calmly opened the package. Inside were the two things I had ordered — a wireless headphone and a rechargeable portable fan. I unboxed them one by one and started testing them. The headphone? Perfect. It worked beautifully and I had been wearing it for hours by the time the evening came. 🎧

The fan though was a different story. It simply did not work. I pressed the button and nothing happened. That was a little deflating because I had genuinely been looking forward to it especially with the heat we have been dealing with. But I did not let it sit — I went straight to the Temu app where I placed the order, reported the faulty product, and provided proof. Their response was fast and fair — they offered a full refund and told me to keep the product. That actually lifted my spirits quite a bit. I didn't lose twice. The headphone was great and the fan was free in the end. Temu came through. 😄

My brother arrived back from his exam and by then it was evening. We gathered and decided on amala with okra soup for dinner. My brother helped with the preparation which made everything move faster and smoother. When the cooking was done I fed my dog and the whole family sat down to enjoy a warm bowl of amala and okra soup to close out what had been a genuinely eventful and interesting day. 🍲

From the one hour walk to the package pickup drama to the full refund win — today reminded me that even when things don't go perfectly they can still end well. 💛
