THE DIARY GAME: FROM ATTENDING AN IGBO MASS TODAY TO GOING ON A DATE WITH MY SISTER [03-05-2026]

Hello everyone, and welcome back. This is @knarfb, and I'm glad to have you here for yet another diary session. Wishing you all peace and blessings.

The lady above is my big sister, we went out together today. Before I get to that let me begin with how the day started.

How it all started today. We all woke up the same time to prepare for church. I actually thought we were all going to the same church today as usual. While we were in the vehicle my sister was the only one who went to our regular church. While I and my dad visited another parish ( church ) on the road going to the other church it occurred to me that [ Ndi Igbo ] the Igbo Catholic where hosting an lgbo mass today at another parish. Exactly l knew my dad was heading there with me. The mass was already scheduled to begin by 8am. We arrived at the church as early as 7am infact many people came early thinking it was a 7am MASS.

When will arrived at the church this was the crowds that had pulled up already and more were still entering the premises upon our arrival.

This photo contains the view of the parish sanctuary and the altar also. The church actually had a nice sanctuary.
The priest arrived and began the mass, everything being said in the mass was with IGBO language from the beginning to the end. I didn't even hear English at all. The whole thing felt like we were in the IGBO land sef.

After the homily (preaching) there was a small launching by the Igbo people. I wasn't even surprised. Gathering that brings Igbo men together money ( ego ) would be involved.

After the launching the father rushed the remaining of the MASS because the launching took quite some time.

Mass ended by 10:30 and I returned back home while my dad went to his shop.

I got home to see the snacks my sister brought from the church. Today, she told me the snacks were shared to April celebrants people that celebrated their birthday on April. We ate and drank the snacks together. While eating they brought light and l began to cook rice.

Me trying to wash the rice l was cooking. I also prepared stew, picked beans and cooked eat also.

The heat was extremely terrible this evening, l and my sister where thinking of leaving the house when we both came up with an idea of hanging out at somewhere nice.

We both prepared left the house by 4pm went into town and settled down at a nice restaurant.
My sister ordered something nice for herself while I ordered for a drink. We actually got what we could afford though.

That what we ordered and how it got served to us.

My sister really wanted to take a lot of pics today. She asked me to snap and snap her. The shot taken today was nice and good. But I can't actually post all that on steemit.

I took a selfie of myself sipping my fruit juice. Not gonna lie the taste was wonderful. I couldn't even describe how happy I was in the inside. Although part of me was shy a little bit but I tried not to show it so my sister wouldn't mock me.

When will where done eating at the restaurant my sister wanted to show me around cause it was my first time coming to a place like this in Borno state.

While strolling around she decided to take more photos, the picture right above was one of the picture taken while strolling. From showing me the necessary place l could visit incase of next time. We turned around and went home. That how splendid my day went. Low-key my sister made my day. But I just didn't know how to express it to her. Well we headed on time to meet up for " our family group meeting " that usually comes up on the first week of each month.

So guys this is where we are going to draw the curtains, Will call it a day from here.
