The Diary Game (11/062026): Doing household chores
Today after returning from class i had alot of chores waiting for me at home, so i decided to start with cooking first. Coming back from lectures is always tiring tbh, but i noticed that once i start doing something productive the stress just reduces. My plan was simple, cook my food first then handle other things before i settle down to read for my test tomorrow.
I started cooking lunch which was beans, cause its my favorite food and i love it alot lol. The smell alone makes me feel relaxed after class stress. While the beans was boiling i added my spices, palm oil and onions, i like it when the oil is plenty so the taste will be rich. Cooking for me is not just about eating, its also my way of relaxing. Sometimes i even sing while cooking if nobody is around haha.
As i was cooking my food i decided to wash few of my clothes and dishes too, cause i rushed out early this morning and left everything scattered. Multitasking is now part of me as a student, no choice lol. So while the beans was still on fire i soaked my clothes, scrubbed plates and arranged the kitchen small. By the time i finished, the food was ready and the house felt clean again. That feeling is always sweet, like you deserve the food after working for it.
After i finished eating i now faced my books, cause i have test tomorrow and i cant afford to fail. I went through my notes and summarized the important parts in my own words. I always do this cause when i can explain something simply, it means i understand it well. I spent like 2hrs reading, sometimes i get distracted by my phone but i try my best to focus. I just want to pass in flying colors so all the stress wont be wasted.
I did other small things after reading, arranged my books and planned for tomorrow. Honestly today has been an amazing day for me. From cooking my favorite beans, to cleaning, to reading, everything just fell in place. I am ready to sleep now with peace of mind. I pray more days will be like this, full of learning, good food and no wahala. Thanks for having me here, i will continue to share my day to day activities on this amazing platform. I really appreciate everyone that takes time to read my posts, God bless you all. Thanks.
