Memory of the first week at school
Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!
A series of memories from the first week of school, which coincided with the school environment introduction period (MPLS). It's a wonderful memory, as I recall, this week-long activity, which serves as the initial phase of the school environment introduction period, wasn't held as enthusiastically as this in previous school years.
Memories of the first week at school, during the introduction to the school environment, naturally hold unique impressions and memories for each day, such as the following:
Monday, July 13, 2026, was the first day of school for the 2026-2027 academic year. On this day, we held our first MPLS (Learning and Learning) activities, including a traditional Acehnese dance performance by our students to entertain the new students. This included self-introductions by teachers and new students, as well as a group photo session with new students and teachers. These were highlights of last Monday.
Tuesday was the second day of MPLS activities at school. This included welcoming students by several fellow teachers at the school gate, morning exercise, and a speech from one of the teachers. These were some of the most memorable moments from last Tuesday's half-day at school.
The MPLS activities continued on Wednesday. While we were all doing our morning exercises, the Head of the North Aceh Regency Education and Culture Office and his assistants suddenly arrived and immediately joined us and the children in the tsunami. This unexpected sight surprised us. A series of other activities followed, including a short speech offering advice from one of our fellow teachers, which brought back memories of the previous Wednesday.
The MPLS activities on Thursday included morning exercises, a performance by students in the pencak silat (martial arts) class, and a photo session with the teachers. The activities continued with performances by the children, performing children's songs and other activities.
Friday marked the closing day of the MPLS activities. This included a recitation of Surah Yasin from the Quran in the morning, a closing speech from the principal, a performance of the song "Living in Harmony" by the upper-grade students, and a more intimate celebration of the closing day of the MPLS by enjoying the MBG (Student-Based Group) together in the courtyard and on the classroom terrace.
MPLS activities only run until Friday, and this series of activities creates wonderful memories at school on the first week of the 2026-2027 school year.
Dear friends, that concludes my presentation for today. I sincerely hope for your suggestions and comments. Please forgive me for any errors in this post. Wassalam.
