Hello My Steemain Friends ,
How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting topic is "A strange—indeed, unique—case" So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic. I am going to share with you.
A strange—indeed, unique—case has come to light in Odisha. This news story starkly reveals the plight of an individual and the callousness of government employees who, hiding behind the shield of rules and regulations, subjected him to extreme duress. It is a case unlike any other—one that has neither been heard of nor witnessed before. Yet, for those who did witness it, the story went viral overnight.
Let me tell you exactly what happened.
The sister of a poor tribal man passed away; her bank account held a balance of ₹19,600. The brother, in dire need of funds, visited the government bank to withdraw his sister's money, explaining that she was no longer in this world—that she had died. However, the bank officials neither listened to him attentively nor properly guided him on the necessary procedures. They insisted on a single condition: he must produce a death certificate. He explained that a death certificate could not be issued immediately and pleaded that he was extremely poor and in urgent need of the money.
The bank officials, however, were unwilling to listen. He spent two months making repeated rounds of the bank, yet they remained unwilling to offer him any assistance; time and again, he returned home in despair. Finally, one day, the bank manager told him bluntly: "Bring your sister here. Only then will you receive the money."
Consequently, the man—whose sister had died two months earlier—dug up her grave and exhumed her body. By then, it had decomposed into a mere skeleton; he placed the remains in a sack and carried them to the bank. Anyone who witnessed this scene was left stunned, aghast at the extent of a brother's desperation—forced to dig up his deceased sister's body and carry her skeleton to the bank. The story went viral overnight, and countless people have since come forward to offer assistance to the man. The bank's inhumanity and the helplessness of a poor individual are laid bare for all to see.
The rules have been made so rigid that a person's sheer helplessness is forced to bow down before them. I would also argue that all these rules and regulations seem to exist solely for the "common citizen"—the very people who, ironically, are the ones who already diligently follow every rule. However, there is also no doubt that what that individual did as evidence is truly commendable. Now, any bank will think ten times before harassing anyone in this manner.
