Forever Will Never Be Enough With You!
Just two days ago my love and I celebrated our first year anniversary as a couple. It was a solemn and beautiful moment for us. That celebration is a testament of God's faithfulness to us. The whole journey still feel fresh like it all began yesterday. I think I now understand it better when people use the statement "how time flies"...
Fortunately for us, it fell on Sunday which is a special day of worship for us Christians. So we went to church but then after the close of the service was the after party for us...lols. We didn't do so much, we just took out time taking pictures. Of course, I would have loved to dump them all here but I decided to pick just a few.
I'm not a picture freak, I think my wife does better when it comes to taking pictures but somehow, I think my very nature has rubbed off on her, She doesn't do so much of pictures these days, or maybe since we got married, I guess it because she doesn't have a partner that loves to photo bomb! Lols.
A brother in church took these shots for us. As we stared at the camera, I became somehow shy, I usually avoid the spot where we took that picture, because it was a common place where everyone takes picture, people could queue up waiting for you to be done and then step in...so friends and fans were still around looking at us...
It was quite unusual to see me take pictures like that on Sunday with my wife all over me, you know that lovey-dovey thingy...smiles. Somehow I had to put away the shyness and face the obvious reality, it's my first anniversary as a married man. Whoever feels jelouse should go get married.
Come to think of it, who should be shy, should it be me or the onlookers who had no idea what we were celebrating until I spilled it by mistake when someone asked where is your baby girl, isn't she support to be taking this picture with you both. I responded by saying, "nah, It's our wedding anniversary, I mean my wife and I" my baby should allows us love on each other today.
It was this statement that finally made everyone realize why we were out there taking pictures that Sunday noon because it's unlike us. Shortly after we finished, we headed home. That day felt different, the atmosphere was different too, we kept getting nice wishes from friends and family.
We could have actually stepped out to have a great time but we were already exhausted from the day's activities, more so we have our beautiful young girl to take care of which of course is a whole lot of work for us both...she is really a handful.
Here is the message I wrote to my wife on that beautiful day...
They say marriage is two hearts that beat as one. If that’s true, then mine has been learning the rhythm of yours for 365 days now. Thank you for the joy in our ordinary days, the peace in our storms, the growth in our challenges,
and the memories that now feel like home. Year one with you has been my favorite adventure. I choose you again today, and every day after.
Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary, my love. Forever will never be enough with you.
You don't even need to be told she blushed. This made me remember those those we were courting, she loved every beautiful romantic piece I wrote to her back then... I think I need to bring back this skill and add it to my routine going forward.
Oh yeah! I've just given you a beautiful gist... You owe me a "Thank You". Smiles.
Regards
