Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Negli ultimi giorni ho letto un articolo interessante su Palantir Technologies e sul suo recente manifesto.

L’articolo, che trovate (qui) analizza i punti principali del manifesto e prova a tradurli in modo più diretto.

Ne esce una visione piuttosto chiara: la tecnologia, in particolare l’intelligenza artificiale, non viene vista solo come innovazione, ma come strumento strategico di potere.

Secondo questa lettura, la Silicon Valley starebbe attraversando un cambiamento importante.

Non più solo startup, app e social, ma un legame sempre più forte con:

• difesa
• sicurezza
• grandi decisioni geopolitiche

Un altro punto centrale riguarda il ruolo delle decisioni.
Nel manifesto, sempre secondo l’autore, emerge l’idea che a guidare lo sviluppo tecnologico debbano essere pochi attori altamente competenti, senza troppi rallentamenti.

Anche il tema delle critiche viene toccato:
il confronto pubblico e il dibattito rischiano di essere visti più come ostacoli che come strumenti di equilibrio.

Tutto questo si inserisce in una narrativa più ampia, dove il mondo viene descritto come sempre più instabile e competitivo, e dove velocità e controllo diventano priorità.

Al di là delle interpretazioni, il tema solleva comunque una questione interessante: che rapporto ci sarà, nei prossimi anni, tra tecnologia, potere e società?

Dall’articolo, emerge una visione del mondo che l’autore definisce molto dura, elitista e poco democratica.

Una visione in cui la tecnologia, e in particolare l’intelligenza artificiale, sembra andare di pari passo con una maggiore concentrazione di potere.

E qui qualche domanda mi viene spontanea... Se davvero lo sviluppo tecnologico si muove sempre più velocemente, che spazio rimane per i processi democratici, che per natura sono più lenti e complessi?

E ancora: questa evoluzione porterà a un equilibrio… o a un cambiamento più profondo nel modo in cui vengono prese le decisioni?

All of this fits into a broader narrative, where the world is described as increasingly unstable and competitive, and where speed and control become priorities.

Beyond interpretations, the topic raises an interesting question: what will be the relationship between technology, power, and society in the coming years?

From the article, a vision of the world emerges that the author describes as very harsh, elitist, and not very democratic.

A vision in which technology - especially artificial intelligence - seems to go hand in hand with a greater concentration of power.

And here a few questions come to mind...

If technological development is moving faster and faster,
what space remains for democratic processes, which are by nature slower and more complex?

And further: could this evolution lead to a balance… or to a deeper change in how decisions are made?
