Photo of the Week Contest 37 | Sharing my best Photo of the Week
I'll like to thank @m-fdo for this lovely contest and also use this contest to show how my Youth Day was celebrated on 23/06/2026 through my photos.
The importance of taking photos can never be overlooked because it has a unique way of preserving memories and telling stories.
The two photographs I am sharing were taken on my church Youth Day. It is a special occasion celebrated and dedicated to recognizing the energy, creativity, and potential of young people every year.
These pictures remind me of the unity, importance and dedication of youth in shaping society and also the church and contributing to positive change.
This first photo was taken from the front angle and captures my excitement of a successful youth day. The color theme was black on burnt orange and from what I'm putting on I tried to improvise on the theme so I don't feel left out because I do not have the color burnt orange. I took a full photo to capture how my outfit looked and as a reminder of the wonderful day.
My second picture
The second photo was also taken from a different angle, providing another perspective of the same occasion.
In this image you can witness the excitement and enthusiasm of every youth about the successful event. You might also be wondering what the green bag is for, it was a gift from our sweet youth coordinator to each and every youth for their outstanding works in the youth department and that was her way of encouraging all of us to do better and continue on our dedication in the church affairs.
Looking at this photograph reminds me that young people possess great potential and can make meaningful contributions when given the right opportunities. When awards were being presented, there was so many categories and it was a wonderful sight because it showed growth in the lives of every youth. We had categories like the most friendliest youth, most active youth, most dedicated in Bible reading and lots more.
Together, both photographs tell a more complete story of the event and preserve memories that might otherwise fade with time.
Youth Day is more than just a celebration, it is a reminder of the responsibilities and opportunities that come with being young.
It encourages young people that even as they pursue education, develop valuable skills, and work toward achieving their goals, we should not also neglect the place of our Father who is in heaven and prepare ourselves for His coming. The event inspired me to reflect on my own aspirations and the steps I can take to become a better version of myself.
What I appreciate most about these photographs is that they capture not only an event but also a message of hope and determination. They remind me that every young person has the ability to make a difference, regardless of the challenges they may face.
In conclusion, these Youth Day photographs represent a memorable experience and an important message about growth, responsibility, and the future.
I invite @wirngo, @chant and @alexanderpeace to participate in this lovely contest.
