SC-S31/W2-Movie Magic |Movies that redefines Success [War Machine]
A special warm greeting to @ruthjoe for organizing this interesting challenge. Watching a film can be a learning experience when we can grasp the positive messages conveyed through the storyline, and when it comes to success, I agree that it’s not just about money or popularity. Not long ago, my eldest son and I watched a movie titled "War Machine"; we both really enjoyed it, and I think this film is perfect for me to feature in Steemit Challenge Week 2.

Brief Plot Summary
The story begins when two soldiers who are blood relatives meet in Afghanistan while on a mission. However, they come under a fierce attack from the Taliban terrorist group, resulting in the deaths of the entire unit—except for the older brother, who suffers a knee injury. He sees his younger brother severely wounded and tries to carry him to get help, but unfortunately, he himself faints along the way.

Waking up in the hospital, the older brother was overcome with grief upon learning that his younger brother had died. He felt a deep sense of emptiness in his life, but despite that, he wanted to fulfill the dream he and his brother had shared: to become members of a special forces unit called the Rangers. Whenever there was a recruitment drive for the Rangers, he would always apply, but he failed time and again, haunted by the trauma. Until finally, he was given one last chance for a special mission test.

Assigned the number 81, he was chosen as the team leader. He initially hesitated to make decisions, but fortunately, one of the team members believed in him and supported him from behind. This mission was exceptionally difficult because the scenario didn’t go according to plan; the enemy they faced was a mysterious robot whose origin was unknown, but which relentlessly attacked and killed everyone in its path. 81 ultimately succeeded in defeating the robot through his engineering analysis.

Value of Success
The film War Machine conveys a message about success through the spirit of a true soldier who is willing to risk his life to defend peace, as depicted through every kind of challenge on the battlefield—both known and unforeseen. It highlights a soldier who carries the bitter scars of his family’s past, yet must rise and continue fighting against a real enemy, because success for a soldier means overcoming the enemy within and the enemies across the entire land.
Main Character
Alan Ritchson portrays the older brother haunted by the painful memory of his younger brother’s death, who continues to strive to fulfill the shared dream he had with his brother of becoming part of the Rangers special combat unit. As a recruit with the number 81, he goes through many grueling stages of testing. Although he often falls short of the finish line, he never gives up and keeps trying, driven by a strong determination that eventually helps him overcome the trauma he has experienced.
Reflection
Often, we are haunted by painful memories of misfortunes that have befallen us, which also affect our thoughts and zest for life, as if condemning us by suggesting that these events were caused by our own mistakes or negligence. We should realize that every episode in life is God’s way of teaching us valuable lessons to help us face future challenges; all the difficulties we encounter along life’s journey should serve as a catalyst for us to become more confident and enthusiastic—this is about how we find meaning.
