That day was the day before Eid, today was very important and hard work for us. I had fasted on the day of Arafah in the month of Zil-Hijjah. We would collect rice with the combine harvester all day. I woke up in the morning and saw clouds in the sky and drizzle. If it rains, rice harvesting will be stopped because wet rice is not sold.

That day was the last day of buying and selling animals for sacrifice, the day before Eid-ul-Azha. We will sell a few cows from our house for sacrifice. Before Eid, there are a lot of animals in the market, so we have to take the cows to the market in the morning so that we can tie the cows in a good place. In the morning, the car that was booked in advance to take the cows is coming. In addition to our cows, there were other people's cows in the car. My brother went to the cattle market to sell the cows.

Tomorrow, Eid, the children around our house are coming to our wife to apply henna on her hands. When I heard so many children coming to my house, I threw them out of the house. They went outside to the balcony and applied henna on their hands. It took about 1.30 hours to apply henna on them.

After 11.30 am, the combine harvester people arrive. First, they grease their engines. We also take some time so that the water in the rice plants dries up. The machine is being taken to the field along the road. I also took a pair of scissors and went to show the rice field. I showed the field and stayed there. Some of the rice lying next to the aisle fell out. I cut them with scissors and put them in the machine's hauler.

They are cutting the rice and bringing it to the back of our house. First, we cut the rice of 2 acres of land. It is almost 3 o'clock when we finish cutting and threshing it. After cutting the rice in one plot, we will go to another plot where we have one acre of land. To bring the harvester to this rice field, we will have to cut the rice of someone else's land and make a road. We first cleared the road by cutting rice fields on other people's land and taking out the rice first.

We have started harvesting paddy in our last plot of land and have sold our paddy. The wholesaler has sent a van with a harvester and they are leaving before the paddy harvesting is finished. They are bagging the paddy and taking 77.5 kg of paddy in each bag and this will be calculated as 75 kg is the weight of a 1 kg bag and 1.5 kg is more as it is wet paddy.

After filling the rice on the road, we come to sack the rice kept behind our house. There is a little dirt here, so the van does not come to this place, so we have to put these rice sacks on the roadside where the van can be loaded. The van drivers are filling the sacks, and we are immediately carrying the rice sacks two by two on our shoulders and bringing them home. This hard work with fasting was becoming difficult for me, but there is no way, the sacks have to be put on the roadside. I finished bringing the sacks and it was evening.

I took a quick bath and came home for iftar. My wife is cooking khichuri today and we both sat down and had iftar together with khichuri and mango pickle. After iftar, my body started shaking due to the hard work of the whole day. I rested for some time.

At night I went to the market to buy some groceries and some knives to cut the meat after slaughtering the sacrificial animal. When I went there, I saw that the knives were finished and they told me to wait for 30 minutes so they would make one. I watched them making the knives while sitting there. When they were made, I took a knife and a chapati to cut the bones. I paid the price and returned home. I reached home after 12 midnight. After returning home, I had dinner and went to bed. That's how we ended the day, just like that day.
