The Dairy Game: Going To Work And Farm Activities (06-06-2026)

Hyy lovelies, it's your girl kemkem1, welcome to today's dairy game, I hope you're all doing well. This morning started in a rather unusual way. When I woke up in the morning, I felt a little disoriented and surprised when I checked the time. For a moment, I was trying to gather myself and fully wake up. After getting out of bed, I went straight to freshen up. I took my bath, brushed my teeth, and made sure I was ready to begin the day properly. Once I was done with my morning routine, I decided to put my surroundings in order before moving on with the rest of my activities. After that, I headed to the kitchen because I was feeling quite hungry. I had some rice that had already been cooked, so I decided to warm it. I turned on the gas cooker and placed the pot of rice on the fire. While waiting for the food to heat up, I used the opportunity to tidy up a few important things around me. It felt good to make productive use of the waiting time instead of just standing around. Before long, the rice was hot and ready to be served. I dished out the food and remained in the kitchen to eat. Usually, I might take my meal to the living room, but this time I decided to stay right there and enjoy it. The meal was satisfying, especially because I had been feeling very hungry earlier. After finishing my food, I cleaned up after myself and returned the dishes to their proper place. Keeping things organized after eating always gives me a sense of order and helps me start the day on a positive note. With breakfast out of the way, I began preparing for work. I gathered everything I needed, got myself ready, and left for the day’s activities. The journey went smoothly, and before long I arrived at work. The workday itself was calm and productive. There were no major challenges or unusual events, and everything went according to the normal routine. I focused on my responsibilities, carried out my tasks as expected, and made steady progress throughout the day. Overall, work was fine as usual, and I was grateful for a smooth and uneventful day.

Going to work

After work was over, I headed back home. However, before getting to my lodge, I decided to stop by my farm to see how things were going. I had hired a woman to help with the weeding because the farm had become very overgrown with grass. Since I had been busy and unable to visit regularly, the weeds had started taking over the area where I planted cassava and maize. I knew something had to be done quickly so that the crops could continue growing well. When I arrived at the farm, I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The woman had done an excellent job. The entire place looked neat, clean, and well organized. It was hard to believe that this was the same farm that had been covered with thick grass not long ago. She carefully removed the weeds and even arranged the cut grass along the edges of the farm, creating a clear boundary between the farm and the road. The way everything was arranged showed that she paid attention to detail and took pride in her work. Before hiring her, we agreed on a payment of ₦10,000 for the job. Normally, the cost might have been lower, but because the grass had become so overgrown, I understood that it would require more effort and time. I was satisfied with the agreement and trusted her to do a good job. She started the work and by the second day, I decided to visit the farm to see her progress. Seeing the transformation of the farm gave me great joy and peace of mind. I was truly impressed by the quality of her work. She worked carefully around the crops and made sure the cassava and maize plants were no longer competing with weeds for nutrients and space. Looking at the farm made me hopeful that the crops would grow healthier and produce a better harvest. I was so pleased with the results that I would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for help with farm maintenance. Her dedication and hard work were clearly visible, and I appreciated the effort she put into making the farm look clean, organized, and ready for healthy plant growth.

After checking the section of the farm that was being weeded, I decided to visit the other part of my farm where I had planted yam and sweet yam. This section was much farther away, so getting there required extra effort. I hoped to find a motorcycle to take me there, but unfortunately, none was available. As a result, I had to continue the journey on foot. The trek was not easy because I was already tired from the day's activities, but I was determined to inspect the farm and see how everything was progressing. Along the way, I met a few people and exchanged greetings with them. I also came across the woman who had helped me with work on another part of the farm. We had a brief conversation, and I took the opportunity to thank her for her hard work. I assured her that once everything was completed, I would settle the remaining payment. She was happy to hear that, and I appreciated the effort she had put into the work. After our conversation, I continued my journey toward the yam farm. When I finally arrived, I was very pleased with what I saw. The person I had hired to take care of the area had done a wonderful job. The farm looked neat, and there were very few weeds present. There were only a few small vegetables growing around the area, but they were not enough to affect the crops. I also noticed that manure from processed palm fruits had been spread around the yam heaps. This would help improve the soil and provide nutrients for the plants as they continued to grow. The yam and sweet yam plants were looking healthy and promising. Some of them had already started growing well and were climbing upward with the help of bamboo sticks that had been placed beside them for support. Although the farm was not very large, I felt encouraged by what I saw. I knew that if everything continued to grow well, I would have a good harvest in the future and would not need to depend entirely on buying yams from the market. Satisfied with the progress, I paid for the completed work and began my journey back home. The thought of trekking all the way back was tiring, but fortunately, I found a motorcycle along the road and was able to continue the trip more comfortably. As I got closer to home, I began to feel tired and slightly dizzy from the long day. Because of this, I decided to stop briefly at a nearby place to rest before continuing home.

Since I was feeling tired and slightly dizzy from the long day, I decided to stop and rest before heading back to my lodge. While sitting there, I noticed a few coconut trees nearby and immediately became interested in getting some coconuts. I approached the compound and met a young boy who told me that they usually sold coconuts, but his parents were not around at the time. He asked me to wait for them, so I stayed for about thirty minutes. When the parents arrived, the mother confirmed that they sold coconuts and gave me a fair price. The coconuts were large and looked very fresh, so I agreed to buy some. I wanted to eat three of them, but I wondered who would climb the tall coconut tree to bring them down. The young boy seemed eager to do it, but I was surprised because he looked too small for such a task. His father then brought out a ladder and placed it against the tree to make it easier and safer for him. To my surprise, the boy climbed confidently and quickly reached the top of the tree. He began plucking the coconuts while his father helped from below. I watched in amazement as he moved around comfortably on the tree. For someone so young, he was incredibly brave and strong. I could not stop admiring his confidence and skill. Before long, the coconuts were brought down and ready for me. I paid for them and immediately opened the first one. The coconut water was refreshing, and I enjoyed it very much. I finished the first and second coconuts while resting there. Within a short time, I began to feel much better. The dizziness reduced, and my strength gradually returned. Feeling refreshed, I thanked the family for their kindness and continued my journey home. When I got to my lodge, I took a shower and immediately felt even more refreshed. Later, I found something to eat and then called my fiancé. We talked about our day, shared a few laughs, and discussed some things that had happened recently. It was a pleasant conversation that ended my day on a happy note. After that, I relaxed and prepared to rest for the night
