The 2026 Football World Cup has already started and the ever-familiar excitement and madness is now working in the minds of millions of football fans like us around the world. I would like to thank Mustafa Zaman Bhai from the bottom of my heart for creating a beautiful platform to share some of my thoughts in front of everyone during this wonderful time.

Since childhood, when I used to watch 22 people running behind a leather ball on the green field on the television screen, I fell in love with football. Football is not just a pastime or a game for me, it is actually a strange feeling and the name of love. There is a country's name that covers the entire part of my football heart, and that is Portugal. Honestly, I don't know why, when I look at the red-green jersey of this team, I feel a different kind of love and attraction in my heart. Their pace of play on the field, their attacking style and their mentality of fighting until the last second to win have made me fall in love with the team again and again. Portugal as a team will always hold a very special place in my heart.

And the biggest person behind this love for Portugal is none other than our beloved Cristiano Ronaldo. To me, Ronaldo is not just a footballer, he is actually a living inspiration to rediscover life and make the impossible possible. Coming from a very ordinary family, just thinking about how he has taken himself to the top of world football through his stubbornness, honesty, hard work and continuous efforts fills my chest with pride. Whenever I face a difficult situation in my personal life, I find new strength in myself by remembering Ronaldo's struggle to turn things around. The hunger he has to run on the field and score goals despite his age is truly incredible and instructive for any person.

This 2026 World Cup is the last World Cup for our beloved CR7. When I think about this, my heart feels heavy, I feel a kind of emptiness in my chest. Because after that, I may never see him fight for his country on such a big stage like the World Cup again. As a blind fan, my only wish and prayer is that the football god should decorate his last World Cup journey with a golden trophy.

However, the Portugal team is no longer dependent on Ronaldo alone. The team now has some extraordinary world-class players like Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao, who can give their best in every corner of the field. Only the excellent understanding and team effort of this entire team can make our cherished dream come true for many years. No matter the win or loss, the love and support for the beloved team and the beloved player will always be the same.
