ACHIEVEMENT-1: MY INTRODUCTION TO STEEMIT
Good day to everyone reading this, wherever you're reading from. My name is Ajugwo Okechukwu Loyalty, from Imo State, Nigeria. I currently reside in Owerri, where I'm a student at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, fondly called FUTO. I'm in my 100 level, studying Cybersecurity, a 5-year course, and I'm genuinely excited about where this journey will take me.
##EDUCATION
I attended a private school from creche all through to secondary school. Growing up, I was always among the sharp ones. Not to brag, I remember winning award not just one but many for my performance in nursery and primary school, always ranking high whenever results came out. That same drive followed me into secondary school, and I thank God it hasn't left me. Now I've found myself at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, studying Cybersecurity. I'm currently in my 100 level, just starting out, but already neck-deep in learning algorithms, flowcharts, pseudocode, and Python.Though theoretically until I get a laptop to start practicing. Im early in the journey, but I already know without doubt that this is where I'm meant to be.
##SKILLS I ACQUIRED AND I'M LEARNING TO ACQUIRE
Over the years, I've never been the type to sit and wait for things to fall into place.
As a result I have shown interest and practiced a lot of skills. People sometimes fondly call me "Jack Of All Trade". One of those is graphic designing. I picked up graphic design because I love creating and I love how a good design can pass a message without saying a word. Cybersecurity followed naturally after because it feeds that part of me that enjoys solving problems and figuring out how things work. Am also into content creation and social media, using it as a space to share my thoughts, my growth, and connect with people who are on similar paths. I won't lie, there's still a long way to go and more skills to learn so I'm not relenting.
##HOBBIES
Do i have any hobby apart from loving to eat? Ooh, yes i do. I enjoy just observing life, picking up lessons from everyday happenings, and turning them into something I can share with others. I love learning and getting to know things in general.
##HOW I LEARNT ABOUT STEEMIT
I have to give credit to my mentor, @megaregins. I have been following his Facebook page for a while and kept seeing him talk about Steemit. As a student, money was always the issue holding me back from joining, but when he ran a promo that reduced the initial cost, I didn't hesitate. I joined immediately to utilize the opportunity.
##EXPECTANCE
Follow me as I share my journey through FUTO, my growth in cybersecurity and design, my content creation process, and everyday realities of student life in Nigeria. There's a lot to learn and even more to share.
