The diary game:[18/06/26]: Lazy day turned grocery shopping adventure.

It's been over a week since my first semester exams ended. Ever since then, I have been in the house, scrolling or sleeping. The semester wasn't easy but thank God we made it through. All the sleepless nights I had, I had planned to make up for it during this short holiday before second semester comes around and today was no different.

I planned to rot in bed today. I just felt lazy and hesitant to do things.
I had previously woken up at 2am.
I still wake up at night because my body somehow got used to the schedule of waking up during exam period.
I slept back and woke up at 7:55am. I contemplated getting out of bed for a long time before finally getting up.

After forcing myself out of bed to sweep the house and take my bath, I got dressed and started reading a fiction book on my phone to while away time.

This new fiction I started is titled " The senator's daughter" written by the profound Amaka Azie. This story is all about a man out to get revenge on a senator who deals in pharmaceutical products that killed his wife. He plans to expose him to the public even after being silenced several times due to the senator's fame and influence. The man's final resort is to abduct the senator's daughter to get his attention. I'm still on it and so far I am more than intrigued to find out what happens next.

Later in the day, my friend came around to ask me to accompany her to the nearby market to get hair extensions. I quickly got up and was set on leaving the house when my mom called me. She said she had sent me money to get foodstuffs for the house. I was happy and thanked her profusely.

So there was a change of plans. Instead of just getting hair extensions, we withdrew money and decided to go to another market a bit far from our side because things were cheaper there. We boarded a bike because it is the most common means and available transport means in my university area.

We bought 4 liters each of red oil and groundnut oil, spaghetti, garri, packets of maggi, , indomie, and semovita. My friend and I bought two hair extensions and handed it to the hairdresser in preparation for second semester. I also bought tools to plait the hair. I bought hair cream, hair wax with a sachet hair moisturizer for my natural hair and a pick comb.

Then I got home and arranged them in the kitchen and proceeded to cook cos I haven't had anything since morning. I cooked rice, fried plantain and stew.

In the evening, I just dished the food again and continued with my novel. The day was a really good day and I thank God for his provisions always.
