I'm sure I'll still receive some notifications where details are missing. And I haven't fully tested where configurations limit the type and amount of notifications you'll receive. But I'm publishing a number of changes, including a refactor where I centralized the activity monitor and notification generator, whereas before I had separate logic in different places.

I get the feeling that this is going to be an ongoing project to get notifications right, so I'm publishing now when it's in pretty good shape; and much better than it had been!

But I'll keep working on it because even if the code is solid, I anticipate changes to the notification configuration options and the default settings at the very least, which will change the notifications that users get, and where they appear.
